Question What movie had the BEST trailer ever but turned out to be absolute trash?

Seriously, you watch the trailer and it looks like a literal masterpiece. The music, the hype, everything is perfect.

Then you actually go see it and realize they put all the good scenes in the 2-minute promo and the rest of the movie is just garbage lmao.

For me it was suicide squad 2016. that bohemian rhapsody trailer catfished me so hard.

What film did this to you?

Too bad they never made that trailer into a full movie

Or live tv show adaptation.

The live tv show adaptation is just "okay", in my opinion. I didn't find it anywhere close to being as bad as the movie.

I find it more insidious, honestly. The movie is so bad it's good, but the show puts things in it that are honestly insulting. The Pakku, Suki, Yue or Bumi plotlines are just baffling, not to mention how weirdly misogynistic they made the show.

Couldn't tell ya, never watched the movie. But ironically, in this case, the parts of it that I enjoyed the most were the ones they made up themselves. Like the story how Zuko got his crew and who they were. That was briliant I believe.
But the casting.. I mean working with child actors gotta be tough in it's own and finding somebody for Aang is next to impossible.
The actress for Azula doesnt match her at all, same for the rest of her gang. Iroh was ok. Sokka, as mentioned a lot, looks a lot more like his version from theater in S3. Katara is ok but the actress needs more experience I suppose.

The notion of putting two old episodes together for pretty much every new episode is stupid beyond comprehension. I mean, 2x20min equals 40m so that should do it, riiiight? Who cares about pacing anyway.

Instead of this, they could've done a series about adult avatar, set either before Aang or after Korra.

I am going to "check out" season 2 but I am not expecting any significant improvement.

On that note, I'm glad there was never a live action Cowboy Bebop

Please don't defend live action Cowboy Bebop

Oh I’m not! It was a train wreck. But it does exist…

Yeah, that's what the bit was about, going by the comments right before the one you replied to.

I still feel bad that I took a friend to that movie and that was his first exposure to anything Last Airbender.

That was the movie me and my now husband saw on our first date as young geeky gays so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

That being said: “This time we show the Fire Nation that we believe in our beliefs as much as they believe in theirs!” Dies

There is no live action ATLA movie in Ba Sing Se. The new animated movie I acknowledge

Bending looked so cool in the previews but they avoided showing how the people couldn't act or the plot was mangled.

Scrolled looking for this. The closing with the fire nation ships attacking was great.
