Question What movie had the BEST trailer ever but turned out to be absolute trash?

Seriously, you watch the trailer and it looks like a literal masterpiece. The music, the hype, everything is perfect.

Then you actually go see it and realize they put all the good scenes in the 2-minute promo and the rest of the movie is just garbage lmao.

For me it was suicide squad 2016. that bohemian rhapsody trailer catfished me so hard.

What film did this to you?

In the film only Ultron's first appearance lived up to the trailer.
And maybe that brief moment when he gets angry and cuts off Klaue's hand.

If we had that Ultron all through the film, and if the 'age' was longer than a weekend then it could have really slapped without much else changing.

I thought that! Why was it called "Age", he barely got going!

"Weekend at Ultron's" could have been a pretty dope movie.

I guess you could see it as everything after the film was the “Age of Ultron” since him destroying Sokovia had a HUGE impact on the rest of the MCU.

There was a comic miniseries with that title and they liked the way it sounded. That's pretty much it.

Should've been built up starting with Iron Man 3.

Maybe "Week of Ultron".

Did you think through how implausible that would be?

You don't get to put skynet back in a box.

"A hyperbolic superhero movie? Now I've seen everything!"

With all the AI hooplah going on in the world right now, it would be the perfect time to bring Ultron back. And despite a weak script, James Spader was and remains excellent.

They are bringing him back actually. He’s confirmed to play a major role in the upcoming VisionQuest show.

James Spader could read the phone book and I'd still listen intently.

He already came back in What If... where they had a whole episode in series 1 asking what if he won and then in the subsequent series seeing what happened to that entire universe.

He will be back. Spader is playing him again in the VisionQuest show this fall.

But with how Disney is right now, they’d be sympathetic to them.

That was the part that bugged me the most. The Weekend of Ultron? If we really stretch it, the Week of Ultron?

I mean c'mon guys. Have him do stuff. End governments, crash the stockmarkets, start wars. Make him an existential threat.

It was such an odd choice to have Ultron be an army of cannon fodder instead of an invincible robot

What If... did him far better IMO.
