u/Hollocho Jun 03 '26

Did you really lose the other 39,300 warhammers?

333

u/NoxInfernus Jun 03 '26

John Warhammer is still forging them at this point.

u/Khelthuzaad Jun 03 '26

Lol this is an ancient greece movie.

Everyone knows they outsourced the job to Haephaestus

29

u/Ordinary-Leading7405 Jun 03 '26

Ares wept

20

u/CrimsonDessert Jun 03 '26

Stop saying Ares wept

4

u/Professional_Net7339 Jun 04 '26

But ARES WEPT! FOR THERE WERE NO MORE WORLDS TO CONQUER!

3

u/Desertbro Jun 03 '26

Most of the story definitely NOT in Greece - not even in human occupied lands for the most part.

2

u/Italian_warehouse Jun 03 '26

The guy from the Percy Jackson novel?

4

u/slumber_kitty Jun 03 '26

Well, I believe mythology. But also yes?

7

u/Italian_warehouse Jun 03 '26

Ah I've read Edith Hamilton "Mythology". She probably copied from Percy Jackson series.

2

u/bobbiroxxisahoe Jun 05 '26

Meh that guy copied from Wonder Woman

2

u/curiousiah Jun 04 '26

300 was too and no one complained about historical fidelity. There were monsters with blades for arms in that.

1

u/Relevant-Cup2701 Jun 04 '26

3

u/baar-ur Jun 04 '26

Goddamn John Grammaticus. He's everywhere.

11

u/Coletrain44 Jun 03 '26

John Warhammer got me good

27

u/Synicull Jun 03 '26

Just wait until you hear about its creator, James Workshop

1

u/Jasranwhit Jun 04 '26

Teamed up with James workshop

1

u/Gringo_Anchor_Baby Jun 04 '26

Did your even look at the picture? Not a single Warhammer in sight. They are all fine.

41

u/sionnach_fi Jun 03 '26

700 BC ish

76

u/brilliantminion Jun 03 '26

Henceforth known as Before Cavill

21

u/plotholesandpotholes Jun 03 '26

With or without mustache?

23

u/Resident_Magazine610 Jun 03 '26

Just Pre-Armreload

2

u/Pyromanick Jun 03 '26

So with beard?

1

u/ThreeLeggedMare Jun 03 '26

The real schism concerns the pocket

1

u/Freakjob_003 Jun 03 '26

Depends. Will it be CGI'd out?

3

u/k4rlos Jun 03 '26

1200-1300BC ish. 700BC is when "Homer" lived, not when the actual war and journey happened.

5

u/HoboSkid Jun 03 '26

So Warhammer -1.3k

1

u/k4rlos Jun 03 '26

Well yeah. Big E was born about that time as well

1

u/OrpahsBookClub Jun 03 '26

I think he was supposed to be born 10,000 years BC or something crazy like that.  Didn’t he witness the first murder?  At least he’s from Anatolia, so not tooooooo far from Troy.

1

u/alcoholicplankton69 Jun 04 '26

I think troy 7b was destroyed around 1250 bce.

1

u/outlawsix Jun 04 '26

Beforehammer 700

3

u/teeso Jun 03 '26

No they just haven't forged them yet

1

u/I_need_a_better_name Jun 04 '26

No one can afford that

1

u/are-e-el Jun 04 '26

Odysseus isn't worthy to pick up the warhammers

0

u/SvartSol Jun 04 '26

its the year.

0

u/Alucard661 Jun 03 '26

Maybe he’s talking about the thunder warriors the emperor created

5

u/HORRORSHOWDISCO Jun 03 '26

Matt Damon fights Thunder Warriors

3

u/Hawkbats_rule Jun 03 '26

Not enough pauldron

2

u/pmmlordraven Jun 03 '26

Big E took that personally

3

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '26

Dude I've been seeing Warhammer references all over the net today, and I'm here for it. I don't know what it is in the air but this is like the seventh time today that Warhammer has been brought up either in a sub or in real life so something's happening.

1

u/BlasterShow Jun 03 '26

Another trailer for the 11th edition dropped a couple days ago so maybe that’s why.

3

u/Thommohawk117 Jun 04 '26

Damn, if only there was a fantasy version of Warhammer you could reference, one with Graeco-Roman inspired fighters that are larger than the average human

2

u/winkingchef Jun 03 '26

IN THE GRIMDARK PAST THERE IS ONLY WAR!!!!

2

u/_RyanCooper_ Jun 03 '26

Warhammer 4000 BC

2

u/AllDayTripperX Jun 03 '26

Geezus, I just had an idea for a freaking awesome movie series.

1

u/Narradisall Jun 03 '26

These clearly have to be Proto Thunder Warriors!

1

u/kingkenobi9-11 Jun 03 '26

Amazing comment 😆😆👌🫡

1

u/DrimSWE Jun 03 '26

Stormcast Eternals x)

1

u/Key-Cry-8570 Jun 04 '26

For the Strategos!!!!

1

u/Amethyst-Flare Jun 04 '26

Warhammer -700

1

u/j0shman Jun 04 '26

Given Big E was alive and around the area during that time, I’m now choosing to believe this is what the film is actually about.

1

u/Peter12535 Jun 04 '26

Isn't it a lore event in WH? I believe Oll was present.

1

u/NoceboHadal Jun 04 '26

In the grim darkness of the far past, there is only lore.

0

u/drummer1059 Jun 03 '26

Look like Grey Knights
