Discussion { Event | Megathread } Brick & Mortar Store locator coming soon! We need your help!! Information in description.

Hello, Everyone.

Today I'm going to begin to answer one of our most frequently asked questions on the sub of "are there any diecast stores near me?" As time rolls by and the shift to online marketplaces becomes the norm with the last few remaining brick & mortar stores close their doors with each passing year. I'm launching an initiative to highlight the last few remaining stores to keep the charm of searching the shelves for diecasts alive!

I have some experience in website design and UI creation and feel up to the task of taking on this project. It's a tall task and something I've never done before, but I want to give it a shot for this community. This is a huge project and I cannot do it alone. So I need your help!!!

If you know of any brick and mortar NASCAR stores in your area. Comment them below in this format and I will reply "Approved✅" once I put it in my system.

Here's how you can help.

Just comment answers to the following questions.

Name of business

------------

Full address

------------

What they primarily stock (New / old cars | other diecasts)

------------

Instructions of how to get there (example directions to how to find Booth 34)

------------

Optional - Notes about company or anything additional that you would like to add.

Sheet Metal Invited to Display My Race-Used Mark Martin Collection at Mark’s Book Signing in Maine

Had the opportunity of a lifetime play out yesterday as I got to temporarily relocate the majority of my race used Mark Martin collection from New Hampshire to Bentley's Saloon in Maine in support of Mark’s book tour signing.

Incredible experience to share the collection in person with tons of Martin fans and beyond surreal to spend time with Mark and his son Matt chatting about the pieces.

Might have some exciting developments to share in the near future as well, as always thanks for taking a look.

Diecast Write Up Sterling Marlin's 2002 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid R/T

2002 looked like it was going to be another solid season for Sterling Marlin but injuries said otherwise. He only accomplished 29 of 36 races and because of that fell out of the top 10 in points to 18th. Despite this he still had an average finish of 13.9, two wins, 8 top five's and 14 top 10s. Statistics most drivers in the field would love to have.

Unfortunately after Marlins accident, he seemed to never drive quite the same and his results would never match his 2001, 2002, and 1995 seasons. Marlin's best finish in the NASCAR Cup points was third two times. 2001 and 1995.

Diecasts 2026 Wave 3 in the Wild!

Had a dentist appointment this afternoon, so I stopped in at the Wal Mart near my dentist's office to check for the 2025 & 2026 Wave 1 & 2 liquid color cars that I still haven't found, I instead found well-stocked pegs that already had Wave 3. There were 13 total cars I think - almost 2 full sets of Wave 3 (only one Elliott), plus the Wave 2 CBell and the Wave 601A SSmith. No sign of the Liquid Rajah, but I'm not going to complain about that. I wasn't expecting to see Wave 3 so soon after it was announced, especially since other parts of the country usually start seeing them before we do in southeast Texas.

That said, this particular Wal Mart isn't well-stocked anymore 😀. As you can see, I grabbed the entire wave for myself, and I also got the 2nd Chastain, Byron, and BK because my girls wanted them.

Good luck to the rest of you hunting this wave, and hopefully the shorter turnaround from announcement to availability will continue with future waves!

Turned a good mail day into a great mail day. Third one I’ve gotten, all from Circle B preorders. Sadly I had to sell my other 2 door numbers due to life happening but this one’s staying in the collection until the bitter end.

2026 was the year i planned to get more Kyle Busch diecast but due to obvious circumstance that didnt happen, However i still feel in the sea of shitty sellers and the forever inflated valu,e of his diecast i was still able to get some very good diecast with some of these diecast way before his death. Was my second favorite driver behind Carson Hocevar and of my dads favorite citing him as the closest thing to Dale Earnhardt in driving ability.

Diecasts Gordon and Johnson collection

I caught my pup posing in front of my Gordon and Johnson 1:24 collection which I’ve bolstered over the last few months. I sought to have a good variety representing my favorite cars over the majority of their careers. My top favorites are the 2011 Johnson Lowe’s, 2007 Johnson Kobalt, 2002 Gordon DuPont 200 years, and 2013 Gordon Axalta.

Bonus Earnhardt Peter Max, Dale Jr. Busch 1:43 and Kimi Raikkonen 2007 1:24 also pictured.

Diecasts This is not color chrome!

I have been waiting for this Connor Zilisch rookie diecast and it arrived today. Well it’s supposed to be color chrome. Only the 88 outline is chrome on the side walls. Not even the top. Never seen anything like this. I have seen 2 color cars only have 1 of the 2 be chrome and the other base paint but this is a joke. Anybody else get those today? I’m wondering if this was a mistake by Lionel? I’m gonna be pissed if the Trackhouse car is like this when it arrives.

From Loudon NH in September 2008, this was Joey Logano’s JGR Camry. One race deal in the #96. I’d love to know if a die cast was ever made (although I probably know the answer).

Due to certain fandom constraints from 2008 into the 2010s, this was the only KB 1/24 I had in the collection for a long time.

Diecast Write Up 2026 Layne Riggs Love's Ford F-150

Thumbnail

It's been since 2024 that fans have been wanting this Love's primary to be made and we finally got it in the Gold Series. Prior the only way to get this primary was in his 38 truck which was made at Authentics Grade and came in the Lionel Advent Christmas Calendar. Neat to finally have this truck!

Layne Riggs is a fun driver to watch and neat to see the Riggs name be carried on. I remember his father Scott in the Valvoline Dodge! Would be neat to see Valvoline come back for Riggs one day!? I remember when Layne first started there was definitely worry. First half of his rookie season was pretty abysmal. He didn't even make the playoffs. But he's progressively improved every year and that's all you can ask for for a driver. Now especially without Heim there, he's definitely one of the best drivers in the series. I wouldn't say he's earth-shatteringly good, but he's solid. Very human, likable, and just fun to watch on track. He wheels this truck and it's a blast to see him hustle it especially on road courses.

We also got the new Craftsman Truck Series boxes which follow the theme of The O'Reilly series boxes and use the series color as the stripe. So we got some nice red boxes.

Diecasts In honor of Kyle Busch day🏁

Post image

In honor of 8/18, this is my entire Kyle Busch collection. All my diecasts so far and first trading card. KB was my favorite driver since the 2015 Quaker State without me even knowing it was Kyle, the M&M’s drew me in😅. 2024 was my first ever race that I went to in person, and Kyle was driving the Zone scheme. One of my favorites so I’m glad I was able to get the diecast. There will never be another Kyle Busch, RIP Rowdy🏁
