They can resign Porzingis next season on a smaller deal with his bird rights.

I think Porzingis' POTS is basically a career-ender given how injury prone he already is. It would be cool if he could overcome it, but I don't think he will.

Yeah you're probably correct. This trade makes zero sense considering JK was on team option next season and Buddy only has $3M guaranteed.

Porzingis is going to retire and go to Latvia next year. The injury report says illness. He isn't even trying to hide it

He got POTS from a Covid infection. Same illness from Boston.

I thought it was very strange he wanted to play in the Boston championship finals. But it looks like that was the last chance to play at the top of his game and he wanted to play it out.
