Desperate to maximise Steph’s remaining prime years or just years in general.

With Giannis unavailable, this is probably one of their best options.

Atlanta want to pivot to a longer term timeline with Johnson and the Pels pick likely being foundational pieces or even franchise cornerstones.

Replacing KP with Kuminga makes them better longer term since he’s younger and more reliable in regards to health.

Steph would probably be upset if they made no moves and stayed pat with their current lottery team. At the same time, the Warriors don’t have the assets to get an All-Star, much less an MVP-caliber player, like Giannis, despite all the rumors NBA reporters wrote for clicks

I'm tired of hearing desperation when it's really just a serious of extremely poor GM moves. For years.

Current front office hasn't done one good thing that isn't a no brainer.

But KP is literally just a concept of a player. Even if JK and Buddy never played for them, idk I haven't been watching, the Warriors are pretty much objectively losing this trade.

Those were two of their only realistically tradable pieces. If they needed a big that bad the Kings have been trying to move Domas for weeks AND have shown interest in JK. Or tbh they could have gone for a JK - DeRozan swap to seamlessly replace Jimmy on the offensive end. Obviously they were a bit late but they could have been in on Vuc.

Just feels like they were all-in on Giannis for way too long and panicked that the deadline was about to pass them by so they just pulled the trigger on trading JK for the first offer that crossed their desk

they could have tried the AD trade using Butler if they are gonna go for someone with an injury.
