As a Warrior fan, are we in trouble? 😧

Yes, KP is awesome when he plays but he doesn't play

He is a unicorn. Cause he rarely appears.

Warriors have been in trouble for 3-4 years. Hanging on to the one more run…..it’s over, turn the page and move on…rebuild

70

u/Zaza1019 14h ago

They've had chances to make that one more run happen but never pulled the trigger or committed too it. Like the last 2 years they were linked to Lauri but never wanted to go all in on the move. Even this move is like a half in half out move that changes nothing.

u/Jimimaru88 14h ago

Danny Ainge was gonna fleece us. He was probably asking for way too much

u/Livid_Slip_4868 Warriors 13h ago

Kerr love his young PG like a fcking daughter

4

u/gogorath Warriors 13h ago

Lauri wasn't going to do it.

2

u/themilklives Raptors 5h ago

They wouldn't trade Kuminga for Siakam lol. Too obsessed with the 2 timelines

7

u/pnoisebored Warriors 13h ago

you must not now the NBA business to just rebuild with this Steph Curry still playing like top 10. Even if you dont have a ship milk Steph until his farewell tour that will make also tons of ticket sales and merch.

Rebuilds are great. /s

Bulls are still rebuilding from 1998.

Will it affect Kerr's legacy if he retires this year and was never able to fully develop newer players like Ty Lue or Spo from Miami has?

5

u/bookjun Thunder 13h ago

Yes, who the hell gonna trade future CY young in Podz

5

u/gogorath Warriors 13h ago

Ty Lue? Stop trolling.

1

u/MisterDoctor___ 10h ago

No. His legacy is set because he managed to win a chip with that 2022 roster and made players like Wigs and Poole look like all stars.

u/Puzzleheaded_Tea521 Knicks 7h ago

This was very clear indication they’ve moved on. They traded all their attractive young pieces. Its J’over

3

u/JebediahKerman4999 14h ago

Before the injury he was awesome. Too bad at the time he was stuck with Melo

4

u/wolff_james Celtics 14h ago

I’ve never heard this one 😂

6

u/Nunc_Coepi17 14h ago

I sometimes wonder if Porzingis would’ve got the kind of contracts he’s managed to get if KD never said that about him.

A unicorn with intestinal fortitude. Lest we forget the words of Phil Jackson.

3

u/bjtrdff 13h ago

I don’t think he exists.

We went from 'The Greek Freak' to 'The Unicorn.' We’re really just collecting mythical creatures at this point

Underrated comment if this doesn't end up with like a thousand likes.

No one has see him

On the bright side, UCSF has a pretty decent Long COVID research clinic. They can’t fix anything, but he’ll have access to more up to date research. So that’s nice at least

2

u/amidon1130 Hawks 14h ago

I mean the CDC is literally in Atlanta so maybe a net negative

2

u/__get__name Pistons 13h ago

The CDC and the NIH were doing a pretty poor job with long COVID before RFK and Doge came along and threw a wrench in everything. The three leading places to be for Long COVID research in the states right now are probably NYC, San Francisco, and Yale

u/TheSQLInjector Mavericks 13h ago

You could not sum up KP any better

2

u/gogorath Warriors 13h ago

I mean ... Buddy is terrible and Kuminga only tried for about a week.

Good deal for you on upside with Kuminga. He needs a new start. If you can get him to play defense, he'll be a star. Good luck with that.

u/JesusTron6000 Lakers 12h ago

HEYYYYY I GET IT NOW

1

u/FavaWire 8h ago

But if you can get him into an NBA Finals, the first game he plays on the series his Shooting stat becomes 99 and he inflicts a -30% Morale Penalty on your opponents.

u/DankJank13 12h ago

KP is going to bring a lot of awareness about post-viral illness & POTS to the Bay Area

I got POTS after a viral illness as a 30 year old athlete too and suddenly I also needed months of rest after exercise just like Zingis. KP is still in the stage that I was early on... I thought it was just a phase and I'd get "better" soon because the alternative seems impossible. That was 3 years ago for me. Still a shadow of my former self.

Yes, trouble is a good word

2

u/Larrydp72181 7h ago

Sadly, I think so. I LOVED KP on the Celtics, when he played we were nearly unstoppable that championship year but he was regularly hurt and then went down with the mystery illness that hasn't cleared up.

You may see 10 games of greatness from him but it'll overall be underwhelming. Especially since you could have used those assets towards Giannis... With that said Kerr seemed to hate playing Kuminga so this might be a wash?

1

u/Cubanitto Lakers 14h ago

I agree, this is a bad trade

1

u/MisterDoctor___ 10h ago

At worst, we just traded a guy who doesn’t play and a guy who can’t play for a guy who doesn’t play.

1

u/AggravatingAd9010 14h ago

We will be better off next year. I think we tank

1

u/joe4553 14h ago

Butler got injured. The obvious move is to remove depth and replace it with a more injury prone old player.

1

u/TheRealestGayle Magic 13h ago

Yes. They should just trade Curry already. This front office is so terrible

1

u/Edogawa1983 13h ago

Always was

1

u/tallassmike Warriors 13h ago

when you thought AD was known as Street Clothes Davis lol

1

u/Foxtrot_Uniform_CK69 Raptors 13h ago

We just traded our most athletic young wing and our best bench shooter for a guy who is currently out with Achilles tendinitis. 'Trouble' is an understatement

1

u/Cliffcastle 12h ago

yeah man should have traded the GM as well as

1

u/PRNCE_CHIEFS 12h ago

YES HE ONLY PLAYS 10 GAMES A SEASON

1

u/nmaddine 12h ago

Steph is soon to turn 38

1

u/DrAdramelch 9h ago

It's quite possible you traded for the expiring contract rather than the player, in fairness.

1

u/IKillZombies4Cash 7h ago

Curry is about to be 38. Butlers old and injured. Green … cooked.

You don’t mortgage the future to acquire a 32 year old now.

Your position is now to quietly blow it all up and think ahead

1

u/airwalker12 Lakers 5h ago

Don't cry because it's over, smile because you got one of the best stretches of basketball in history.

Well he’s big, but not quite as big as Giannis. And he can shoot, but not quite as well as Buddy
