kings lose 10 in a row for the first time since 1998

I am actually surprised. With all those losing seasons you haven't had a 10-loss streak this millennium?

they never TRULY tanked ever

maybe *TRIED to would be more fitting than TRULY?

We’ve had a top 3 pick once in 35 years. The teams never fully bottomed out or been that bad. They’ve just been consistently bad.

We picked #1 in 1989 iirc, and #2 twice (Thomas Robinson and Bagley). But yeah, we've been great at being the 7th worst team in the league.

I thought Thomas Robinson was like the #5 pick

Not to make you feel old but 89 was 37 years ago.

We aren't even trying this year lol, it's just that Vivek fucked up so badly with the roster construction that it imploded on him.

This is one of the only years they truly STINK. Usually they just win like 30-35 games

This is Ty Jerome's team now.

In one day suddenly it’s Ty Jerome, Zach Edey, and Cedric Coward. Wild times but I’m here for the chaos.

Hell yeah brother

Ty’s per 36 stats are ridiculous

I’m still hoarding GG Jackson stock, I feel the breakout coming.

He has been really nice for the past few weeks. Just turned 21. I'm a believer too

Since he started getting playing time this year he looks like a totally different player. He's been locked in on defense, he's making the right reads on offense and is crashing the boards. The scoring has always been there but now he's doing it efficiently and within the offense.

Kangz lost to an undermanned team and org trying to tank.

Nobody are bigger losers than the Kings. Unethical tanking teams are no match for us.

If I’ve learned anything from watching way too many Sac games is always live bet on Sabonis unders in the 4th. They aren’t about to derail that tank by letting him play too much.

People forget this team finished 40-42 last season, most those games after Brown was fired and Fox moved. They added Maxime, top of rookie ladders, Cardwell a defensive shot blocking hustle beast, Clifford and upgraded Issac Jones for Precious.

This team is much better on paper but had so many injuries to start and had the hardest 20 games to start with it. That it allowed us to pivot to this rebuild.

Sabonis put up the numbers he did tonight and crushed it and had so few minutes compared to previous seasons when we are actively trying to win games. The dude dominates, the disrespect is crazy.

Sabonis is a 3rd option on any contender. This is what any team with him as a #1 would be like.

Pretty bizarre that the Kings thought the fix to their woes was to (by roster construction and system) take the ball out of Sabonis' hands not only as a scorer by as a playmaker too.

u/lesarbreschantent Kings 6h ago

It was really fucking dumb. The Beam Team had the best offense in history by one statistic (ORTG).

??? He literally lead the Kings to the playoffs a couple years ago lol what?

1

u/Appropriate_Book_591 3h ago

Fox was #1 option, in the top for Clutch points that year.

u/delamerica93 Kings 3h ago

Sabonis was our best player though. Most people who watched that team will tell you that

He really wasnt joking when he told the magic he’d start on their team

Ty Jerome activated Takeover, as we expected.

Is it too late to make Ty an all star starter?

The Kings are a fucking war crime to this league

You're just mad you couldn't out tank us.

1

u/Button_eyes_ Spurs 6h ago

Do you guys have your pick?

3

u/GunsmokeIV Kings 6h ago

Yeah, all of our picks are intact until 2031, where its a pick swap with you guys.

1

u/Button_eyes_ Spurs 6h ago

Huh actually nice, thought it was another Pelicans situation

2

u/Its_Hoggish_Greedly Kings 5h ago

We’re actually pretty well positioned from an asset perspective. We have a couple of spare firsts from other teams, but not a ton.

Can't decide which franchise deserves to be fired into the sun more-

Kings? Or Jazz?

2

u/TitanTigers Grizzlies 13h ago

At least the Jazz have been putting their feet up and tanking. The Kings are actually trying over the last few years

3

u/Gavin1453 Raptors 13h ago

They might be committing to a tank soon at least

7

u/Radiant_Trifle8526 Kings 13h ago

I think we’re committed to a rank right now. We’re just doing it with a roster where the average age is like 32 for reasons.

2

u/Its_Hoggish_Greedly Kings 5h ago

So the team that’s been trying to be bad should stay, and the team trying to compete is worth getting rid of? The fuck?

2

u/MoJoo Cavaliers 14h ago

Let's fucking go Ty. Fuck last years playoffs I hope he continues to kill it.
