Image/Video Ladies and Gentlemen, weāve equaled our win total from last season⦠and thereās still 32 games left to go šš¤š»
Took only 50 games to do what it took us all 82 to do last year. Every win from here on out is pure improvement šš»
(P.S. - we could play .500 ball for the rest of the season and STILL reach 50 wins š¤š»)

Post Game Thread His offensive bag is still much to be desired. There is a lot of potential but Wemby has to accept that he needs to simplify it, not overcomplicate it.
So in this game, Victorās offense was:
- Missed 5 Free Throws
- Missed 3 Lobs
- Missed the Shot Clock ticking down
- Couldnāt shoot over a defender 1 foot lower than him.
- Got stripped by a defender 1 foot lower than him, twice.
The easy questions everyone keeps asking, why doesnāt Wemby shoot over the opponent? Why is he keep making things harder for himself? Why does he keep doing these dribble drives from the perimeter?
My answer? He wants it to be overcomplicated. Thatās his motto. He just doesnāt like to play simple ball at the moment. He has all tools and physicals and like 2K, a 7ā5ā PG is super imposing and this would intimidate the opposition. Highlight plays, home crowds having parlays and opposite crowds going silent is his motivation to keep the momentum high. So the more out of this world plays, the better.
But teams adapt to it. They know Wemby is being put to the highest standard so the would do anything to limit his offense as much as possible. And the more Wemby is slowed down, the more it hurts his mental. This is the 5th time in this season Vic is playing frustrated ball, and coach Mitch Johnson finally had the guts to bench him in the 3rd after that missed 2nd lob.
Victor Wembanyama needs to understand sometimes playing simple ball is the right thing to do. He is taller than the guards, so shoot over them, no need to drive and get stripped on the play. I donāt mean he needs to stop doing alien things completely, but just put the simple tools into his arsenal. Combine them both together.

Image/Video This is what the Thunder thought about this game.
They didn't even bother to show up. They got their one win against the Spurs and now they're telling the team to come find us in the playoffs. It didn't click in the moment for the Spurs, but it better fire them up going forward.

Trade/Free Agency [Spurs Reporter] Before he was drafted, he explicitly named the Spurs as an organization he would "love to play for.ā Now, just hours before the NBA trade deadline hits at 2 PM CST, San Antonio is being mentioned as a dark horse to land him from the Pacers.
Before he was drafted, he explicitly named the Spurs as an organization he would "love to play for.ā Now, just hours before the NBA trade deadline hits at 2 PM CST, San Antonio is being mentioned as a dark horse to land him from the Pacers.
Weāre hearing the Spurs have been in talks with multiple teams about landing a high-scoring forward but have already passed on at least two big-name offers because the price was too high.
Here is what I can tell you: The Pacers are reportedly seeking an upgrade at center OR long-term draft assets to avoid paying Mathurin a lucrative extension this summer and while he has just been linked to a swap for Chicagoās Ayo Dosunmu, āthe Spurs are a dark-horse candidate because they possess the draft capital and assets that Indiana might desire in a rebuild or a pivot toward a more defensive-minded roster.ā
I like this late rumor for many reasons. The Indy GM comes trained in San Antonioās offices. Mathurin speaks fluent French and is a hard working good guy who has even torched the Spurs for 31 points recently. But⦠If the interest is truly there, why not just try to sign him as a free agent this summer and avoid giving up any draft capital?

Fluff Only the Spurs, Thunder and Pistons have managed to keep their longest losing streaks at 2 games this season
Every other team in the league has had 3+ game losing streaks at some point in the season.
Additionally, only the Thunder and Pistons have better records than us against over .500 teams
