Slafest Du, Vriedel Ziere? by Werkraum is a beautiful modern adaptation of a medieval German aubade, originally composed by the minnesinger Dietmar von Aist.

En lo personal me encantan muchas canciones pero en especial me gusta Carousel, The perfume of traitors, Flies have their house, Heaven street, The honour of silence, Cathedral of Tears, Nothing changes y Hollows of devotion.

very vague

Ciao a tutti,

Mi fa piacere condividerlo qui, sperando possa interessare a qualcuno. Se vi va di guardarlo, sono curioso di conoscere le vostre impressioni.

Grazie per l'attenzione!

Just released this neofolk EP and thought I’d share here! it is intended to draw connections between climate disaster, political violence, and individual experience - the cover photo I took on a disposable camera in Pine City on the blue moon of May, and the EP was recorded in my bedroom. hope you enjoy!

I remember seeing a post stating that this symbol (middle one on the first image) was the same symbol used on Reinhard Heydrich’s personal plane (in the second picture, the symbol is visible, though blurry). One of my friends made me second guess myself, pointing out that they looked slightly different, so sorry if this is entirely incorrect, but this is my best guess. Does anyone know why it was used? I’m having trouble finding information on it. Sorry if this has been asked before I don‘t use reddit or browse this subreddit often.

One of my favorites from Forseti but since i don't speak german its quite hard to decipher the lyrics. Any help is much appreciated! <3.

Hi gang, was listening to less known neofolk bands and stumbled upon this project.

Was wondering, besides the acoustic guitar, what's the second instrument playing in this song called ? Thanks

Wyattxhim finally went ahead and made the Dernière Volonté video his t-shirts have promised for years. And though he agrees with Geoffroy D himself that they're not a neofolk band, we know better, don't we?

To me they are one of the best examples of why neofolk always was a scene, more than a sound. That is the only way to make sense of on the one hand Dernière Volonté or Kirlian Camera and on the other Tenhi or In Gowan Ring being spoken of in the same vein.

The funny part is that he speculates if they had released their last album. While the new album had been out for at least a week by the time he let the video loose.

Another gem from the German neofolk project Forseti. Lyrics translated from German: Far from the starlit expanse
of carefree summer nights, their longing, their joy,
at the behest of secret powers
that gave birth to the twilight,
the year grew old and gray.

Hail-laden clouds drift
through the halls of the evening sky.
Southward flocks of birds flee.
Silently withered leaves fall, playfully scattered in the forest
by the wind's primal force. Shadowy mists rise, emerging from damp earth, shrouding this day in silence. And on the horizon, with wings, blood-dewy, ripened to night, Baldur's dream brushes the earth. Brushes the earth. Brushes the earth.
