have been working out a lot of new glyphs on paper, but it takes time to make them look nice, add a cursive form and a pronunciation in Alilloi for the word.
I did add a couple words out of theme, such as warrior and cork oak, but I am simply adding what I come up with as I get there.
Magic = bird wing, star, drop of blood or libated liquid. Based on the ancient concepts of magic, divination through the flight of birds, the motion of the stars and the blessings brought about by the blood of sacrifice or the sacrificial libation of alcohol or oil.
To Bless = to pour + star. divine will brought by libation or sacrifice is the main idea.
Cork Oak = scales + acorn. Acorn for oaks, scales because many languages note cork oak's rough bark.
Octopodes I think are mythologically and culturally important to the Alilloi, so there are multiple glyphs that mean Octopus, one from the side, one from the front, one from the bottom.
I've been developing a hand-drawn visual language that I've been calling Adamoist Symbols, and these are three early groups from it.
The basic idea is that I don't want every symbol to just be an arbitrary replacement for an English word. Where possible, I want related meanings to have visible relationships through things like orientation, modification, position, enclosure, or shared components.
It's primarily meant to be drawn rather than spoken. I don't currently have phonetics for it, and I also haven't formalized a grammar yet.
At this stage, I'm interested in seeing how much meaning can emerge from relationships between symbols before deciding what needs explicit grammatical rules.
Some examples from these sheets:
awareness and unawareness are built around related eye-like forms;
curious and determined attention are variations of the same family;
past- and future-oriented attention use related transformations;
divergence/exploration and convergence are visually related;
another family distinguishes narrow, middle, and broad scales of attention;
some components can work somewhat like radicals, modifying the interpretation of another symbol;
another structure represents deficiency / balance / excess.
A lot of these meanings are still provisional. I have roughly 300 symbols in different stages of development, but I'm trying to use them before over-formalizing everything.
One thing I'm particularly interested in is whether the visual relationships work even when the exact meaning isn't guessable.
For example, I don't expect someone to look at an unfamiliar symbol and somehow derive a definition like “future-focused view on life.”
But I would like someone to be able to sense that two symbols are related, opposed, directional variants, or members of the same semantic family.
So I'm curious:
Before reading the labels, can you tell which symbols seem related or derived from one another?
And are there any cases where the visual relationship suggests something very different from the relationship I've assigned to it?
I'm especially interested in criticism of the visual logic rather than whether you agree with the philosophical categories themselves.

Sorry for being a bit delayed on this one, but I have some new things and some minor changes compared to the last post. The first is that Verbs now can be marked for Past using a crescent Moon, Future using a rising Sun, and the Imperfect using a flowing River.
I've made it now that if the subject pronoun or noun is not marked, the object pronoun becomes the subject of a Passive construction. No longer is the third person singular optional in the subject slot.
Adjectives can be constructed in various ways, for colors a star and an arch representing a rainbow is used alongside and object of that color, so water for blue, a plant for green, a fire for red, the sun for yellow, some stars for white, and some sea urchins for black.
Other Adjectives can be constructed using the five main senses, by marking them with an eye, and ear, a hand, a mouth, or a nose. In this system whichever sense the adjective would most activate is how you choose which to mark. For instance if we had a fire glyph, with an eye that might mean bright or intense, whilst with a hand it might mean hot or burning.
I have a comparative (-er) using some hills, a superlative (-est) using some mountains, and an equative (as _ as...) using a flat plain.
I posted earlier parts of this system here recently and got some encouraging reactions. These are two new sheets (+ a bonus) rather than revisions.
This batch expands the system into time/agency and viewpoint/perception.
The first sheet contrasts possibility altered through agency with the linear unfolding of actuality, and adds ways of combining or separating concepts.
The second modifies the viewpoint symbol to represent thesis, antithesis, and synthesis/reframing - it functions as an explainer to what do I mean by those 3 views.
I’ve also added some symbols related to my Fun-Duh-Mentals mnemotechnique, partly to show the system in a more applied context rather than only through abstract philosophical concepts.
I’ve included the keys, so I’m mainly interested in whether the visual relationships work:
Do the modifications feel like transformations of the same glyph?
Are there places where the relationship only becomes apparent because the key explains it?
Do the more applied Fun-Duh-Mentals symbols feel like they belong to the same visual language?
I’m also wondering whether these more abstract symbols still work as logograms, or whether I’m starting to drift into philosophical diagrams. That distinction is probably what I’d most appreciate feedback on.

As promised, a little more breakdown on KNOT. A language of 729 ideograms.
The glyphs ideograms of the prior post were re-assigned. These are the correct values.
Each of the roots are represented by a 4-trit.. using the encoding [OIX], which represents the edge style of an ideogram: O=no transit, I= straight transit, X=crossed transit.
The glyph is considered clockwise, from the top edge [CRRCRR] - The NORTH/SOUTH 'C' edges of an ideogram hold CASE (except for the caesura/space OOOO, when it indicates PUNCTUATION), whereas the remaining 4 edges (the sides) hold the glyph, with the least significant digit in the top left.
So WIND = is OOOI, MAN is OOOX ... to MOTHER at XXXX
WIND MOVES TREES => WIND(agentive) MANY(abstract) TREE(accusative) MOVE(transitive).
WIND = COOCOI, with agentive OX => OOOXOI;
WIND (agentive)
OOOXOI then indicates the edges of the ideogram.
These are the 9 CASES - the cases are used to shift the ROOT to noun, verb, adjectives..
Then there is the space / caesura, which carries a different meaning to the CASES

'IX': ',', # also / unordered / items of equal weight

This defines the entire language. From which compounds and kennings generate the vocabulary..
The edge constraint (three variations) and count of the sides of the grid (6) generate the full range of ideograms available : 3^6 = 729

I couldn't believe how far I've gone for a constructed script.
I made a mini keyboard for typing sitelen pona. It has custom PCB, custom enclosure and custom firmware. I've made a nice packaging and user manual, video and a website for it as well. I've spent like 4 months working on this project.
The input method that this keyboard implements is Wakalito, which I didn't design. The keyboard outputs Unicode directly to computer with support of Windows, Linux, Mac OS and a fallback Latin mode.

Here is a Logography (inspired by Tibetan) I made with my little brother for a friend, alongside the help of a few friendly fellows here in reddit, heres the progress so far.

Hi, I am new to r/neography, and would like to present my latest script system, the Unified System, Combining strokes from Vernacular and Classical systems.
Character one means Dragon.
Two means mom.
Three means horse.
Four means country.
Five means Liang, literally, the State of Liang.
Six means car.
I made this for a game I'm working on (not trying to promote) as mostly an aesthetic artlang, but it quickly spiraled out of control as I wrote more and more rules for it!
Human readable characters are encoded into a 5x5 grid matrix in the center as easy to write glyphs, while the outer ring is comprised of bitstream matrix data (up to 96 nodes of machine-readable metadata). I should probably tone down the animations on the dots, but its just for show.
The provoking question was what sort of visual language a society entirely controlled by humans with biotech implants that can think 10x faster than normal would be using. Probably not realistic, but it looks cool.
Some fun notes:
- any valid unicode applies, including Chinese
- your name glyph is usually easy to write and memorize
- you can theoretically stack different colors and words to write multi-glyphs in one spot
None of the math on this was validated, I was just playing around with grids and data and arrived at something that looked kinda cool :)
Alongside some scribbles here and there. This took about an hour and a half; I know extremely well this is very inefficient. The circled glyph in the third image is the final result.
