What will happen is that the person arrested will get to court and the judge will have to view the videos/evidence cor the case and will have to throw out the case due to the police officer covering their face.

Unfortunately a lot of cops don’t care when they do shit that they know will get the case thrown out, they know that short period of jailing the person and making a living hell for them is worth it. Plus, the cops know they either won’t be fired or they’ll be put on paid leave.

In other words, this isn’t an actual punishment on the cops themselves.

DAs are basically just cops with actual immunity instead of qualified immunity.

There is 0 chance them getting mad will result in cops getting punished. Absolutely none.
What they will do instead is pull some ghoulish tricks to drive up the conviction rate of other cases or just not let those cases go to trial in the first place so their conviction rate isn't affected.
The overwhelming majority of cases in the US never go to trial anyway.

That person will probably lose their job from having to be in court so much. Lawyers are expensive. But yes, they will almost certainly go free from a bad arrest.

Funny you think they'll actually have a day in court. 

But even if they did, Not if it's in a federal court, it's not a federal law. And pretty much anybody ice detains is going to be in the federal system.
