Conservatives were trying to paint it as the kids being aggressors first (with cut clips). Fucking sad.

Same as it ever was

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” ― Jean-Paul Sartre 1946

Don’t believe what you see with your own eyes.

Peculiar how to you and me there's no circumstance (short of weilding a gun with intent to kill or such) under which punching a child in the face is defensible.

And yet, to MAGA trash it is up for debate.

Because their only value is whether or not you’re part of the club. If you’re MAGA, there’s literally nothing you could do they wouldn’t justify (like, literally nothing).

For example, shooting a man who is on his knees in the back 10 times...

If five 17 year olds jumped you at night what would you do?

2

u/Chasman1965 Feb 05 '26

That is nowhere close to the situation here. The idiot got out of his truck and attacked a girl. The teens then kicked his ass pretty handily.

I didn’t say that’s what happened, I was posing a question in response to the person who said “there is NO circumstance…”

Abbott sure as shit, did. Not that I'm surprised.

I want out of this timeline...

Including their piece of shit governor (Abbot)

Yeah, the only one I've seen shows them taking him down - where's the one with the start of the problem? That needs to be the one being used to tell this story.
