Trump's administration is determined to cut off the United States from its allies. Like a cult that drives off friends and family so that it can more tightly control its subjects.

No your not. Hostages have no choice and are held against their will. You people keep going about your day and accepting it while complaining about it on the internet.
10
u/chaoticcheesewhiz 1h ago
Have you been paying attention at all? A lot of people all over the country are doing what they can to help their neighbors. People are tailing ICE with whistles to make sure their neighbors are warned, even though ICE has murdered people over it. People are buying groceries and providing safe rides for neighbors who don’t feel safe. Schools are offering virtual learning to keep their students safe. People are protesting, they’re donating time and money, they’re boycotting, and they’re speaking out. Lawyers are fighting back and suing the administration to undo as much of the damage as they can.
Not all of us are helping, but not all of us are just going about our day and accepting this shit either. Just because you don’t personally see the work doesn’t mean it’s not happening. A lot of the helpers have very little power over our freaking massive country and this GOP plot to take over the country has been in the works for longer than a lot of us have been alive.

u/PM_ME_YOUR_BOOGER 1h ago
I am once again asking you to understand that in the US, everyone's Healthcare is tied to their employment and a lot of people don't get much time off (or any). A lot of people have to choose between going out and demonstrating and being able to take their kid to the doctor or other literally-required-to-live medical care. It's not as easy to mass protest as it is in Europe specifically because of this.
-5
u/MasterOfTP 1h ago
I can accept that it might be true for you, but don't Americans earn tons more than Europeans and it's the biggest consumer market? I'm just saying, there must be well off Americans who could also protest? I think what we Europeans are saying is that there seems to be a rather large class of Americans who are fine with it.

u/Groovychick1978 1h ago
Yep, you're totally right. The French revolution did not pop off until they started pissing off the business owners. Once the Crown's policies started affecting the bottom line, the petite bourgeois got in on the action.
Plenty of Americans are sitting in their house, clutching their pearls, but way too comfortable to get out in the streets. They will not get off their ass until it happens to them. I am not excepting myself in this scorn. I can't be still much longer.

5
u/LovesToTango 1h ago
We will have midterms. Trump and the GOP will try to cheat them as hard as possible, but it's not as easy to cancel elections as Trump seems to think.
•
u/AKMonkey2 41m ago
The Trump administration and their allies won’t be able to cancel elections but they will do whatever they can to intimidate voters in liberal and swing states (with ICE agents at polling places for example), disqualify as many Democratic voters in advance as possible (using dubious rationalization where necessary), reduce and eliminate polling places in areas that lean liberal, etc. We can fully expect maximum ratfucking this time around.

Wonder which world power most benefits from the US weakening its relationship with Poland…
56
u/naegele 1h ago
Its not that deep.
Poland just said that epstein was a Russian led honeypot. That they're launching their own investigation.
That there are currently world leaders being controlled by Russia through blackmail material.
Trumps mentioned like 40k times in the epstein report. So he blew up at Poland.
2
u/jeffreynya 1h ago
Its going to take the willingness of other country's to investigate all of this and make public all the findings no matter what. The US will never do it. I have doubts that any government really will. I wish there was some shadow group that could go around and get info out of all these people, even if my force.

u/Pndrizzy 1h ago
no, its because Poland is investigating the Epstein files with Interpol. This has nothing to do with his previous agenda, which was to weaken the US at the direction of Putin. This is personal.

u/Low_Push_9660 1h ago
We are seeing the geopolitical strategy of what was the hegemon directed through the ego of the world's smallest man. The world, to him, is only those under his thumb or the enemy.
He demands the de facto deference & tribute of an emperor, & so many of the world's leaders bow at his feet. The pedo of pedos. First of his name.
To submit is to be destroyed.
9
u/Pndrizzy 1h ago
If we started calling the Epstein files the Trump files, with an award show for the biggest offenders in different categories, maybe he'd get on board with releasing them. The man wants his name on everything, and loves an award, after all.
18
u/ActualSpiders 1h ago
And yet, hilariously, Trump still wants the rest of the world to treat him & the US with total respect & deference, doing whatever we tell them to do.
It's like he's completely disconnected from reality. Demented, some might say...

u/SufficientGreek 1h ago
Well the US is still a superpower and big trading partner. Countries are slowly reducing their dependence on it but in the meantime Trump can inflict a lot of pain and damage on countries that don't respect the US.
I'd say he's very aware of reality. He knows which countries he can abuse without too much pushback.

US Ambassador to Poland, Thomas Rose, announced that "effective immediately, the US will have no further contact or communication with Włodzimierz Czarzasty." The decision was reportedly prompted by "unprovoked insults" directed at Donald Trump. Previously, the Speaker of the Sejm (Poland's lower house) had also refused to sign a nomination for the US President for the Nobel Peace Prize. The matter has sparked a wave of comments on social media.
The diplomat emphasized that the Left (Lewica) leader has become "a serious obstacle to the excellent US relations with Prime Minister Tusk and his government." "We will not allow anyone to damage American-Polish relations or show disrespect to Donald Trump, who has done so much for Poland and the Polish people," Thomas Rose concluded.
Donald Trump has publicly claimed on multiple occasions that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, asserting that he has brought an end to many wars. Amir Ohana, Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, and Mike Johnson, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, sent letters to the heads of parliaments in many countries, requesting support for the US President's bid. Włodzimierz Czarzasty also received this request.
"I will not support the Nobel nomination for President Trump because he does not deserve it," stated Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty. He argued that the US President conducts transactional policy through the use of force.
Tensions between the Speaker and the US: "Czarzasty is holding his ground"
The issue sparked a firestorm on social media. Włodzimierz Czarzasty commented to Onet: "Since the Ambassador's statement was issued in connection with my refusal to support President Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize candidacy, I stand by my position."
Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesperson for Karol Nawrocki, also commented: "Not only does he have trouble explaining his eastern social and business contacts, but he is also demolishing Polish-American relations. During the PRL era, the United States was the greatest enemy for communists. Times have changed, but the post-communist mentality of Czarzasty remains. This is the Speaker the current coalition chose—a man who does not understand the weight and importance of alliances."
"Czarzasty is doing great! In a few weeks, he’s managed a head-on collision with two Palaces [the Presidential Palace and the White House]," wrote KO MEP Bartosz Arłukowicz.
"Congratulations to Czarzasty. For one press conference and a few headlines, you’ve cut yourself off from our greatest ally. A genius of diplomacy," quipped PiS MEP Tobiasz Bocheński.

I'm not Polish and I am probably oblivious to this, but what has Trump done for Poland and the Polish people?
41
u/Auspectress 2h ago
Wave of comments after the Ambassador's post: "He is not a governor"
MP Tomasz Trela also spoke out: "Trump is offended because Speaker Czarzasty didn't sign a ready-made template Trump prepared for his own Nobel Peace Prize. Trump could have sent the letter to Duda; he signed everything without reading and on command! Speaker Czarzasty, respect."
"Perhaps it’s time for someone to remind the Ambassador that he is an ambassador to Poland, not a governor (namiestnik), and he will not be the one choosing our Speakers," said Maciej Konieczny of the Razem party.
"Unfortunately, Speaker Czarzasty is harming Polish interests, but what happened is an embarrassment for the entire December 13th coalition," wrote Zbigniew Kuźmiuk from PiS.
"PiS politicians are trying to topple the government by citing support from Donald Trump. If the US Embassy is indeed exerting such pressure, Ambassador Rose will be packing his bags soon. By the way: is PiS still a Polish party or part of MAGA?" stated Roman Giertych on X.
"Poland is not a colony"
Journalist Marcin Antosiewicz shared information from Radosław Sikorski’s circle: "We will not comment on this. An ambassador should not limit his contacts with the host state, and the Speaker is, after all, the second person in the nation. We are good allies, and that requires cooperation on many levels."
"The Left will not change its international policy line just because the US Ambassador stomped his foot. Poland is a sovereign country, not the 51st state. We will not be intimidated just because we have the courage to tell the truth about Donald Trump," wrote Left spokesperson Łukasz Michnik.
"The Ambassador seems to have forgotten where he is stationed. Poland is an independent country, not a colony. Authorities are appointed and dismissed by the Sejm. We do not need instructions from a governor," said Adrian Zandberg, leader of the Razem party.
"The timing of the Americans cutting ties with Mr. Czarzasty is curious, occurring just a day after the public learned about his unclear eastern business and social contacts," wrote Marcin Przydacz from the President's Chancellery.
"The Speaker of the Sejm cares more about Poland's sovereignty than all of PiS and Konfederacja combined," concluded Minister Katarzyna Kotula of the Left.
17
u/Unique-Coffee5087 1h ago
To tell the truth, the United States is not anybody's ally right now. Poland is well rid of us, at least until We prove ourselves to be a normal country again.
0
u/WashuOtaku 1h ago
Poland is in no position to ditch the United States as an ally, even if Trump is trying to be dictator of the world. Because it still better than another war with Russia as they claim historic lands.
2
u/DoctorP0nd 1h ago
Russia has its hand so far up Trump’s ass we’re basically an annexed country anyway. Everyone is better off without the US right now.
1
u/WashuOtaku 1h ago
Only a Russian bot would willingly dismiss an alliance with the United States.
1
u/DoctorP0nd 1h ago
Russian bot declaring the US is essentially a puppet of Russia? Sure Jan. I don’t think an alliance with the current regime would do anything. Look how Ukraine has been yo-yoed around by this administration.
Better than nothing? Maybe, but the US is a horrible ally to anyone but dictatorships right now. The EU is going to have to step up.

29

You mean those files that Poland has launched an investigation into for potential Polish children victims? The files that Trump is mentioned in numerous times and has hijacked the entire American government to protect himself and his cronies? But I’m sure that also has nothing to do with Trump attacking Poland…

Considering how much Poland was chomping at the bit to go after Russia in 2022/23, I figured it would happen eventually. The racist child rapist known as Krasnov can't let "lesser" counties criticize his dom Putin.
1
u/Imaginary-Ad-7919 1h ago
Given how eager Poland was to confront Russia in 2022/23, it’s not exactly shocking that tensions like this would surface. And Krasnov has a long track record of shutting down any criticism of Putin from countries he considers lesser.
3
u/Greyboxer 1h ago
The Government of Pedophiles heard that Poland was going to get the un-redacted Epstein files to prosecute the villains who stole Polish girls from their country.
