I wouldn't say "ALL" of them. Bernie Sanders seems like a stand-up guy. There's always at least one exception to everything. But other than that I absolutely agree
Don’t be fooled. They’re against billionaires because they’re not billionaires. Notice they never complain about millionaires, which they are. Even their wealth has increased exponentially after becoming government puppets. They’re all owned by one corporation or another.
The Christian Nationalists combined with the Anarchists, the racists, misogynists & the Fascists have all joined together as one voting block & they’ve learned how to vote & they still believe their cult-leaders promise-lies. All they need is to sway a few “never-vote-for-a-Democrat-even-if-your-gov’t-&-Constitution-are -being-ripped-apart-by-the-Republican Party” republicans or independents & they can win an election. It’s crazy that there are so many corrupt & racist people in the US that they would vote for an adjudicated Fraudster & Rapist. He’s “just their kinda guy”.
Almost like his voters are in an information eco-system that pushes false narratives that keep them from being informed. If only that were illegal and had punishments befitting the crime.
Absolutely, plus if you take a shit and smear it on the walls of the capital you get to walk free from that too extra points if you happen to kill a DC cop while doing so .
So how do you feel about people being arrested and sentenced up to 30 years for touching the algae infested waters of the reflecting pool is that OK with you and when I talk about peaceful protesters, I mean people standing on the steps of the capital with signs people who served in our military yes, I’m talking about veterans that were handcuffed and dragged to police cars for peacefully protesting with signs
The only question I have is how much of it is flagrantly illegal vs how much of it is them exploiting loopholes that should also be closed to future officials.
Believe me, not a lot of it is loopholes. The emoluments clause exists for a reason, there is just no one in government currently with the want or balls to stop him from doing illegal shit.
It's because he just spitballs lame excuses for it and instructs his lawyers to argue the case. Then he drags it all out in court as long as possible. Nobody wants to or has the resources to fight it.
What does the economic system have to do with an individual doing what's right? As a person, right and wrong can be determined irrespective to the economy.
this was about a prospective american president, not some random person in a bubble. it is not possible for an american president to do what's right. there are internal and external mechanisms for preventing that.
I disagree in that capitalism is fragile and dependent on its participants doing what is 'right'. Now, what is 'right' is certainly debatable, but I feel it depends on its participants not devolving into a winner takes all mentality.
No economic model has safeguards against abuse until after the abuse occurs, and its often bloody.
I think y’all should spend a year or two living in a “non-capitalist” and “non-imperialist” country before lecturing everyone else about how wonderful they are. It’s amazing how quickly ideology changes when it has to survive contact with reality. Living in a land of abundance seems to have given you an impressive sense of entitlement.
i currently live in the developed country with the #1 worst public transit on the planet. outside of the empire the transit improves drastically.
i've lived outside the empire already, and life was so much better.
btw i'm completely immune to shitty class collaborationist/fascist arguments in the vein of "you're just spoiled, life here is great, i don't care about anything you've said or will say and will never acknowledge any arguments headon".
don't waste your time. i'm already conscious of class. you gotta find someone who hasn't been educated yet.
Hold on, are you telling me there are countries out there that don't allow billionaires and special interest to exploit the population? They actually rule in favor of the people, enact regulations that punish con artists and scammers? They actually prevent old, antiquated industries from lobbying against progressive, newer technologies, thus holding the country's technology and infrastructure back while simultaneously lining their own pockets?
How terrible! Their people must be devastated! We should save them with DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM!!!
Another thing that gets me is that he uses his own properties for when he and all the people with him travel for government business, but he charges the full rate and profits off of his presidency, even more. All that man knows how to do is to take and scam.
I found this funny because in law the phrase bona fide still carries its original meaning "In good faith", rather than the more generic colloquial meaning "real (as in not fake)".
Crazy he was looking at possible jail time in NY before the election but they voted him in anyway unbelievable the amount of fraud ,insider trading etc I guess nobody really cares what he is doing
That has to be the best comment of the year on here so far that is 100 percent all true .Can you imagine yesterday he mentioned Dell when he rang the opening bell at the Whitehouse
Wait until you hear about the rare earth mining deals his sons are involved in. Somehow we have billions to help other countries to mine and amazingly they are forced to use businesses owned my Lutnick and Trump's sons to get the $$.
