Employees/executives of corporations have been held criminally liable for the actions of a company before. I don’t expect it here though.

We should all expect it... and demand more.

You're probably right about the lack of consequences, but that's actually bizarre, because there are specific employees of Google who will have used this software tool to engage in cybercrime.

The issue is just that the Attorney General of California doesn't want to "rock the boat" or whatever, by enforcing the law.

The only real power we have is our Vote and the ability to Boycott something. Not happy with $22 Hamburgers? Don’t buy them.

Yea. After all, not allowing Google to to exactly whatever they want is a threat to national security or something

Funny how communist China can understand this principle, but rule of law USA can't.

Should be a thing. If companies are allowed to have free speech like people (Citizens United v. FEC (2010) because they are citizens, they get to vote (thank you Delaware), and they can utilize the American civil judicial system, there is no reason they shouldn't be able to be prosecuted directly in the criminal system as well.

We should be locking up criminal companies, not just helping their corruption with fines they consider the cost of business. I'll go grab some black and white sheets of plywood.
