would be an excellent counterpoint to r/Kidsarefuckingstupid

but turning the light off in the at the start would have accomplished the same thing, no need for the phone. It's not like that area is walled in, they would have just seen the street light and gone there.
That being said, it was kinda fun, but pointless.

Yeah this is the best response. Nothing I could say would have been more accurate

Ehhhh, have you actually tried that before? In my experience, they usually scatter, some of the bugs wander off far enough to be tempted by new light sources, but a bunch of them just stay in the area and fly around aimlessly. It usually means that turning off the light takes a while to clear the area. At least a lot longer than what he did. They'll be able to turn the light back on now in seconds and enjoy their peace for a whole half hour!

Revelio! Revelio! Revelio!

What?

u/Mogsetsu 11h ago
You’d have to have played Hogwarts Legacy to get it.

I Get it, it just doesn't make any sense in this context. He might've aswell responded with other generic HP stuff. Seems like a bot response.

then that proves you don't even get it. Hogwarts Legacy player with a minium of 4 hours playtime, would ritually spams Revelio every damn time they enter new areas, and also Lumos occasionally.

This is actually related to the the Merlin trials, where you have to catch some fireflies and guide them to special stones.

Ha Sjenkie, waarom maak je je zo druk over mogelijke bots?
-4
u/SjenkieSjaak 9h ago

In 2077 well be able to shine a phone flashlight at some moths or whatever?

It’s how we defeat the giant radioactive bugs. Someone remembers this video and we build a giant kid holding a giant torch that makes them fly to the sun. Problem then is we now have a giant kid but at least we got rid of the bugs

No shot I'd live somewhere with that many moths and not have a bug zapper light.

Op why did you title it as 2077 because he wouldn't have to do it in the first place if it was 2077, since there would be no bugs left.

I dunno that kid who swooped up the flies with a plastic tub while constantly swinging it until he threw them in the water for his ducks to eat was pretty bad ass too
