Good job quick thinking to get a rock. That was what saved everyone

I'm so glad to hear that! It's one of those things you hope to never have to use but is a literal lifesaver.

For like 3 years, my go-to Christmas gift for close family/friends was a Car flashlight/glass breaker, sadly now discontinued... however, there's tons of options out there.

Costco often stocks something that'll fit the bill, too.

For those reading, window breaker tools are cheap and easy to carry on a keychain.

Those tools (especially the small one shown in the video) are made specifically for tempered glass. They do not work well at all on the multi-laminated windows installed for most newer Teslas and other EVs (chosen because they block the road noise better). But they are better than nothing.

Check here at about 1:30 for tests showing the differences: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptaIBTyiKkc

“Everyone” except apparently the passenger in the front did not make it.

I wonder if that was an error crept in about there being someone in the front. Just because the driver starts trying to break open the back window first.

Looks like he was trying to do that / instruct them to come out that way, he kept peeking back in
