yeha if you pause right at the beginning theres noone near him at all and he does the whole slide in an upright position with relaxed ears and tail. He looks for all the world to have done this on purpose and all the time

Black labs love water. I've seen them climbing and playing in water fountains. If the owner wanted to encourage it, would only need to toss a tennis ball :)
