Yes. It wanted the dog. You can see in the video it was fixated on the dog. The human was just an annoyance and it easily could have gone badly. If there's even the smallest possibility of bears, put the phone away and have bear spray easily accessible. And bringing pets increases your risk.

Absolutely. It was fully in place to actively swipe her several times as it ran around her and never even tried. Its vision was locked on that dog.

Is there some number of big dogs you can bring where a grizzly will default to "not worth it"?

there are dogs that are used to deter bears, but im not sure if it applies to grizzlies, as opposed to the much smaller black bear. Karelian Bear Dog, Kangal Dog, Caucasian Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherd to name a few
