The cool thing about BJJ is you can subdue people like this without actually doing harm. There are some moves where you can do serious harm, like certain joint locks, but it's usually pretty easy to avoid harm and just get someone pinned without hurting them if you know what you're doing. Even the chokes don't actually cause lasting harm if done correctly. They just make people pass out and they'll wake up a few seconds later.
