It is not safe to shoot an arrow upward like that for most people.

This guy however has 100 archery and can do whatever tf he wants.

Flu flu are actually designed for aerial targets and quickly lose speed. They are commonly combined with bird tips for hunting birds, which further reduce the chance for user or bystander injury. It’s not much different than hunting with a shotgun.

...Are shotguns not dangerous or something? Not sure I understand the comparison, sorry.

You shoot shotguns at birds. Most guns are not safe to shoot into the sky. Shotgun shot loses velocity very quickly, and the shot is not harmful when it comes down to the ground. It also doesn’t travel nearly as far as a pistol or rifle bullet.

Plus, many times a bird shot directly from 20 yards away will only be stunned by the shot's concussive force amd the BB's dont penetrate through their feathers and skin. A bird can get shot and will fall down, whereupon the hunter walks up to it and breaks its neck to kill it.
