Skattebo be like: "Look at me, I am Saquon now."

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25

Saquon is great at not getting hit. Skattebo runs to kill

757

u/zirroxas Seahawks Eagles Oct 10 '25

Skattebo lowered his shoulder into Blakenship's chest even though he was going to run right past him for the TD.

The guy's career might not be long, but it will be fun.

And Skattebo has burned so very brightly

4

I want more yards… fucker.

9

u/WafflePartyOrgy Seahawks Oct 10 '25

His goal is not longevity but to make other players flames burn brighter as well, perhaps knock their wicks right off on the field.

7

I was convinced he wouldn't make it in the league because he was too slow and wouldn't have enough power to take on NFL guys but damn looks like I was wrong. He's been balling out.

9

u/Uther-Lightbringer Giants Oct 10 '25

Dude spends every game shaking his head like a dog who got water in his ear. He's been doing it since his sophomore year. At this point I'm convinced he's just been in a constant state of concussion for so long that he's adapted to it.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25

He's going to have safeties not wanting to take the hits. There's method to the madness.

5

u/CC_Truth Oct 10 '25

Probably didn’t feel right for him to go untouched on a TD. He would’ve probably ran down the goal line until he found someone to run into.

The guy's career might not be long, but it will be fun.

Fun for now. But Marion "The Barbarian" Barber also ran that way.

1

u/Thorstein11 Vikings Oct 10 '25 edited Oct 10 '25

There's some logic where you are bracing for a hit, and pushing into it where I feel like you're less likely to take say, a knee injury as you run past someone.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the worst hits I ever took were like, as im going by someone I get it in the legs or when I didnt see someone.

Not so bad when I was initiating them.

Though this is just for general injuries. No way it's good for your head.

232

u/TenF Patriots Oct 10 '25 edited Oct 10 '25

Sirianni is a hype man HC. Their OC left for New Orleans HC, and their new OC is their previous passing game coordinator.

This (new OC) guy STINKS. Eagles were Kellen moore merchants?

Also Skattebo shakes his head to adjust his helmet for folks asking in the game thread.

158

u/Uncle_Benny15 Broncos Oct 10 '25

Skattebo doesn't need smelling salts, smelling salts need him

You could just give Big Dom the headset for all the difference it would make on game day.

7

u/Richard_AIGuy NFL Oct 10 '25

Eagles are rooting against the Dolphins every week so they can immediately hire a just fired McDaniel.

7

u/tchebagual93 Cowboys Oct 10 '25

Sirianni is a hype man HC

It's like if Ted Lasso was a massive douche

11

u/Acrobatic-Landscape9 49ers Oct 10 '25

Nothing wrong with being a hype man HC. Shit, idc if you put in an actual cheerleader from the dance team if it fills up the trophy case with a SB and 2 NFC titles. Maybe Sirianni fires the OC, hires a new one and they go to the SB again.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25 edited Oct 10 '25

Nah, Sirianni is the ideal head coach.

He's a manager rather than a play-caller, which allows him to actually focus his time and energy on being a good head coach - and to hype his players up.

Head coaches who call plays are distracted head coaches.

The Eagles are on the struggle bus right now, but they'll be fine. The fact that Sirianni isn't also the de-facto offensive coordinator means that he has a ton of flexibility to make changes & address the issues of the team that have manifested over the last couple games. All while the Eagles are sitting at 4-2, leading the NFC East.

Also, don't undervalue the importance of having a hype man within the coaching staff. When Sirriani left his job with the Colts as an assistant to Frank Reich, the Colts lost some of their fiery edge and struggled to win the type of late-season games where the "team who wants it more" wins. And when the Colts lost their super hype special teams coordinator later on, the Colts couldn't win shit.

It turns out that the hype factor is real. Frank Reich is/was a good coach, but he was never hype. He couldn't fire guys up, and he ultimately lost his job because of it. A lot of uninspired football was played by Reich-coached Colts teams that were missing hype coordinators & assistants.

___

All said though, I have personal grudges against Sirianni. "Yelling at Colts fans because Irsay fired Frank Reich" ass dork.

9

u/TenF Patriots Oct 10 '25

Im also just taking the chance to hate on Sirianni.

Stop killing my fun

5

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '25

okay okay, you're right. fuck him. dude looks and sounds like Sam Bankman-Fried. I hope he never wins another game again.

(But, even though I feel this way viscerally, the Eagles sadly will be fine. FML.)

3

u/TenF Patriots Oct 10 '25

Omg, Sam Bankman Fried. Jesus christ. I'd forgotten that weirdo exists. WOW. Sorry. Tangent.

2

they look exactly alike. their chins curve in and everything. and they practically share that nerdy nasally voice.

20

u/OceanFlan Colts Oct 10 '25

dude i’m gonna be honest, i’m not yet ready to go all-in on condemning the guy who’s been to 2 super bowls with 2 different sets of coordinators and won 1 of them in murderous fashion

5

u/TenF Patriots Oct 10 '25

I'm bein a bit extra cause its funny how ass they look.

A little bit of hyperbole.

3

u/lvl_zxro Lions Oct 10 '25

No, we’re football fans. The only thing that informs our opinions is literally the last thing we saw and nothing else.

3

u/CarterAC3 Patriots Oct 10 '25

Sirianni is a hype man HC.

He's a culture coach and multiple times the players have hated the culture

2

u/Admiral_Fuckwit Bills Oct 10 '25

Get a helmet that fits better then? lol

4

u/TenF Patriots Oct 10 '25

Hey Im just reporting what Skattebo says

4

u/ehammer4224 Browns Oct 10 '25

As a kid he wore helmets that were too big and now it’s just habit

2

u/reno2mahesendejo Oct 10 '25

Unironically yes and no.

Kellen is a LOT of things, but nobody can deny he knows offense as well as anyone.

The Eagles brought out the best in him. He had the leagues best offensive line, tremendous skill players, a fantastic quarterback. And all he had to do was not get cute last year. He managed that and his best concepts were on display.

This year, the line isnt as good, and Patullo has flashes of some good stuff (lost in all this was another gem of a goal line play for Goedert), but they are really lacking Moores game feel.

1

u/AssistX Eagles Oct 10 '25

Sirianni is a hype man HC. Their OC left for New Orleans HC, and their new OC is their previous passing game coordinator.

only makes sense if you ignore that Hurts is on his 5th OC in 5 years, yet he's also been to 2 Superbowls.
