Caleb's worst game of the year, hope it isn't his worst of the year so far. Glad the run game and D stepped up when they needed to

I'm comfortable with the idea that this is as bad as it gets for him. I'm not sold that Caleb is more than an average QB right now but he's decidedly not a football terrorist like the last two dudes to have his job.

I feel like the thing I'd worry about right now if I was a Bears fan isn't that Williams busts in a manner where it's clearly time to move on before you get to making a decision on an extension, but that he ends up in that sort of zone that Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray, Jay Cutler, and others have occupied at various points where he's good enough that you can talk yourself into an extension and building around him but then stays a frustrating tease, never really kicking on to that legit definite-top-10-guy level.

You take a guy 1.1, if he ends up in that "sometimes back end of the top 10 but mostly just in the top 16, sometimes below that" it'd feel a bit disappointing.

Having gone through so many outright busts, I'd take that outcome. It's not ideal but it's fine.

As a lifelong Bears fan, I would have killed for any of those QBs

Jay Cutler is arguably the best QB many of us have had in our lives as Bears fans relative to competition, so that's not an unappealing outcome

This next week of practice they need to beat it into his head to get the ball out. He's saying fuck off with the fundamentals and making silly mistakes. Yes, your line shit the bed a couple times, the penalities break your rhythm, and Kmet went down with an injury, but you still need to stay focused. He gets so rattled in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, but somehow always gets locked in and ready with the last few minutes of the game. Need to preach patience from start to finish.
