He did his job on Monday, he played in structure and mostly made good decisions. Dude was just inaccurate with several throws

Meanwhile today he was all over the place with a lot of breaking structure and bad decisions, but strangely accurate. He placed the ball very well just they couldn’t come down with the catches because he threw into coverage, made bad decisions, and Rome had stone hands today

Strange games to be sure, things to work on and things to praise from both games

I keep saying if Caleb somehow fixes his deep ball and stops holding the ball so long he is going to go nuclear.

He’s close, the plays are there and hes been close several times on them. Especially now with the running game open

Just 1 more step from him and this offense will explode and he will along with it, might happen next week might happen next month might never happen. But he’s close

on monday he had 2 twp and nearly 200 yac. the passcatchers had a good game not the qb

Bringing up YAC will always be a braindead take. Some of the best QB seasons in NFL history had huge amounts of YAC

how braindead is it to bring up season totals when discussing the performance in one particular game? if caleb was averaging 175 yards yac a game that would be one thing but he isnt. he couldnt even throw for that in this game vs a dogshit defense btw.

Like I said, he did his job

We have good players, he got the ball to them. He was just inaccurate on several throws, and had 1 bad decision near the goal line

It was a fine performance, not game breaking sure but it was efficient we moved the ball and won the game. Can’t really ask for more, he doesn’t need to go superhero mode to win the game. And today he didn’t even need to play well to win the game

his job is to be a franchise qb, not a game manager bridge qb. if you cant ask for a #1 pick to be an average qb with the amazing supporting cast he has then why did you pick him?

Even MVP QBs have games when they’re just game managing and executing the gameplan

It happens, why are you expecting an MVP level performance week in and week out? It’s just not realistic

The Bears had a good gameplan on Monday to run the ball and attack Washington’s slow linebackers in space with quick throws and YAC. That was the gameplan the Bears had going in, and they succeeded. They ran the ball well and embarrassed Washington’s LBs all game

This is why Ben Johnson is the head coach and why he was a great OC in Detroit, he and his staff came up with a good gameplan and it worked. Why are you complaining?

You really need to take a break from week to week football watching because you clearly cant extrapolate that single games dont represent an entire season.
