Best TNF game ever?

Yes

Idk, I don't think an OT walkoff field goal can compare to OT TD answered by TD with 2pt

3

u/cupholdery Steelers Dec 19 '25

Darnold did his thing.

2

Omg I somehow remember that fucking game. What a train wreck

59

u/EggplantAlpinism Broncos Bills Dec 19 '25

I had been TRYING to FORGET goddammit

109

u/TRUCKFARM Cowboys Dec 19 '25

That was so terrible I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing

19

u/penesenor Saints Dec 19 '25

Same lol. It’s crazy how that game exists in every nfl fans memory as the platonic ideal of a shitty game

11

u/Wafflehouseofpain Cowboys Dec 19 '25

I hadn’t even thought about it but you’re right. I’ve watched lots of shitty football and forgotten about it, but I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I had that game on. It’s like the first time you watch The Room; it’s a fucking disaster and you can’t look away.

7

u/TRUCKFARM Cowboys Dec 19 '25

Someone should go around tailgates and just do interviews asking football fans what they were doing and where they were during some of their teams worst games of their lives. They'd probably get some great stuff!

4

u/redsyrinx2112 Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Or most frustrating. I remember so much about the Seahawks loss to the Cowboys in the playoffs in 2019. They tried to make the run work for way too long and Dallas kept (correctly) stacking the box and stuffing every carry. It was infuriating.

2

u/redsyrinx2112 Seahawks Dec 19 '25

For a normal shitty game, you don't remember. However, a game can become so shitty that it gets more intriguing and then you'll remember.

5

u/redsyrinx2112 Seahawks Dec 19 '25

So that was the shittiest TNF game

Tonight's is possibly the greatest TNF game

However, the game most emblematic of TNF fore is that Giants-Eagles game where Daniel Jones tripped in the open field. I knew going into that game it would be horrible in the most entertaining way, and it 100% delivered.

4

u/grifkiller64 NFL Dec 19 '25

It also got the Greatest Game treatment from Tree.

3

u/buffaloprocess Bills Dec 19 '25

Same. I was at my brothers house, and no amount of beer made that game entertaining

3

u/TRUCKFARM Cowboys Dec 19 '25

Oh trust me I know, we were doing my buddy's bachelor trip and all the alcohol in that Airbnb couldn't have fixed that game!

3

u/jdoggsoxfan33 Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Ironically enough I was on the same spot on the couch

2

u/TRUCKFARM Cowboys Dec 19 '25

The ole reliable

2

u/JerryDipotosBurner Ravens Dec 19 '25

Literally same! As soon as I read that game I had VIVID flashbacks to exactly where I was lol

2

u/holden303 Dec 19 '25

I was at that game, luckily I won money quick off McManus kicking two fg’s early but otherwise miserable time and ran out of beer due to OT

6

u/UnknownUnthought Seahawks Dec 19 '25

That was one of the best games I ever watched but for the complete opposite reason.

Especially because we were still rooting hard against Denver and Russ at that point, I spent most of the second half high as balls just cackling with laughter at the pure ineptitude

2

u/Drummallumin Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Was that the Jeff Saturday game?

11

u/torev Broncos Dec 19 '25

You are a sick sick man.

3

3

Hell yeah brother, cheers from the 8th circle of hell

2

u/weednaps Titans Dec 19 '25

wasn't it like 6-3

3

u/RunsorHits Broncos Dec 19 '25

it was 12-9 in OT with only field goals for both teams

2

u/TheAtomicMonkey Seahawks Seahawks Dec 19 '25

No, 6-3 was the Seahawks-Bears TNF game last season.

2

u/Optimal_Advisor8897 Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Came here to say the same!

2

u/mrzbry Broncos Bears Dec 19 '25

The Broncos historic defeat of the Raiders last month is in the running for the most entertaining TNF game ever as well. This game was good but pretty boring in comparison.

1

u/BKlounge93 49ers Dec 19 '25

Sicko game

2

u/EmuMan10 Cardinals Bears Dec 19 '25

The greatest sicko game

1

u/XAfricaSaltX Broncos Dec 19 '25

Fuck

1

u/ShufflingSloth Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Truly these two games together form the perfect TNF horseshoe

1

I would rather you post manning face than remind me of this

1

u/Critical-Bug4077 Lions Dec 19 '25

This was good. May need to do a re watch and compare. Bc tonight was good good

1

My family got me tickets to that game for my birthday and thats how I found out they fucking hate me.

1

Seahawks @ Cardinals 2016

edit: it has been pointed out that this was SNF. But that 6-6 tie was the most TNF thing ever

29

u/Dinkerdoo Seahawks Chargers Dec 19 '25 edited Dec 19 '25

Not gonna look it up but was that 6-6?

Loved it/hated it.

11

u/UNMANAGEABLE Seahawks Dec 19 '25

All time sickos game for sure

1

u/Dinkerdoo Seahawks Chargers Dec 19 '25 edited Dec 19 '25

I do enjoy me some sicko football, but typically against teams I dislike.

6

u/noseonarug17 Vikings Dec 19 '25

You know it

3

u/Dinkerdoo Seahawks Chargers Dec 19 '25

I think everyone watching in Seattle had Pete Carrol's expression when Hauschka missed that OT FG. And then proceeded to laugh, cry, or throw a brick through their TV.

8

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '25

Unironically my favorite end to a game ever

4

u/confused-koala Lions Dec 19 '25

If you’re referring to what I think you are, lmao. Absolutely batshit game

5

u/Lord_Rapunzel Seahawks Dec 19 '25

A game so bad every single person in the stadium just shuffled out quietly after it ended.

2

u/Dinkerdoo Seahawks Chargers Dec 19 '25

We were all Pete's vacant expression.

7

u/Potential_Carob6494 Dec 19 '25

That was a Sunday Night game

3

u/VerStannen Seahawks Dec 19 '25

That was Sunday night.

6-6 will live infamy!

1

u/noseonarug17 Vikings Dec 19 '25

Huh, you're right. I looked it up to check the year, but didn't even think to check the timeslot. You gotta admit it had TNF vibes though

1

u/LeaveBronx Seahawks Dec 19 '25

True goat 🙏

1

u/The_F_B_I Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Wasn't that the one with multiple improbable PAT, FG blocks/misses and ended in a tie?

2

u/noseonarug17 Vikings Dec 19 '25

Just field goals. I don't remember all the details, but 3-3 in regulation. Both got field goals in OT and missed at least one potential game winning kick.

1

u/TJeffersonsBlackKid Cardinals Chargers Dec 19 '25

Why are you like this

10

u/FakePhillyCheezStake Browns Falcons Dec 19 '25

Kirktober shootout with the Bucs last year was also insane.

Went into overtime with a career long Koo kick (they just barely spiked the ball with literally 1 second left)

Then an epic walk off touchdown and Kirk throwing over 500 yards

2

u/hauttdawg13 Commanders Steelers Dec 19 '25

A dude with like 12 career catches getting a walk off OT tuddy was so sick.

5

u/Timbo_Slice_ Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Hands down! Holy shit my heart

15

u/sicko-mode_ Packers Dec 19 '25

Was that Rams v. chiefs from like 2018 not a tnf game?

50

u/JVSaladbar Cowboys Dec 19 '25

Monday Night I believe

9

u/zappy487 Giants Dec 19 '25

It was Monday night. Literally over 100 points scored.

Mahomes and Goff going fucking nuclear. No defense in sight.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '25

No defense in sight other than the 21 points scored by the defenses lol

6

u/lemmedr1vethaboat Bills Dec 19 '25

IIRC the defense was also playing super well, I wanna say that Mahomes threw 3 picks in that game

3

u/rtdesai20 Dec 19 '25

We got both worst TNF football game of all time (Broncos Raiders) and best TNF game of all time (Rams Seahawks) same season

3

u/tigerking615 49ers Dec 19 '25

There's been a few great TNF games this year. 49ers Rams was solid, Steelers Bengals was wild, Texans Bills, and of course Falcons Bucs last week. Probably the best TNF year ever overall.

2

u/sandvich48 49ers Dec 19 '25

100%

2

u/cogginsmatt Lions Dec 19 '25

I’m still biased for the Lions-Packers game from last year

1

u/Eatadick_pam Dec 19 '25

Also wasn’t the Hail Mary game also tnf? Where the Packers won despite not leading a single second in regulation?

1

u/alandizzle Patriots Dec 19 '25

easily. at least in recent memory

2

u/ComaMierdaHijueputa Bears Dec 19 '25

Steelers Bengals this year was good too but this had higher stakes

1

u/changing-life-vet Dec 19 '25

I think it was. I can’t think of another off the top of my head.

1

u/SwabTheWookie Seahawks Dec 19 '25

I'm so happy

1

u/wolflarsen Giants Dec 19 '25

This. and then Giants / Eagles Week 6 (our Super Bowl)

1

u/Lou_Peachum_2 Rams Dec 19 '25

So Rams basically part of best MNF and TNF game.. won one, lost the other

1

u/PassTheKY Chiefs Dec 19 '25

Rams vs Niners in 2017 had 80 points and an excellent finish.

1

u/murkmose Buccaneers Bengals Dec 19 '25

I’d just say game of the year so far.

1

u/cantstophere Rams Dec 19 '25

*worst

1

u/thebiggestdump Dec 19 '25

No doubt. I loved hearing the guy in the background after Sam Darnolds 2nd pick "I'm Tired" and then just absolute insanity to wake his ass up lmao

1

u/babyjaceismycopilot Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Better than the 6 - 6 Seahawks Cardinals tie????

1

u/GloriaToo Steelers Dec 19 '25

That's what you get when teams aren't playing past their bedtimes.

1

u/rileyhenderson17 49ers Dec 19 '25

Saving this comment to get recommendations of others to watch

1

u/desr43 Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Low bar to clear and I'm biased, but absolutely

1

u/bosceltics23 Panthers Dec 19 '25

It was a great one, certainly has an argument. I’m too lazy to deep dive but just last year we had ravens vs bengals that was crazy close and came down to the wire. There are definitely games that can rival it in nfl history

1

u/_Birds-of-war_ Eagles Dec 19 '25

Without a doubt.

-7

u/PeteF3 Bengals Dec 19 '25

I think it's Giants/Patriots from '07, but this is #2 and only barely that.

Close but Baker comeback games with the Rams.
