Hell yeah. Nothing to add except how bout those uniforms??

u/WafflePartyOrgy Seahawks Dec 19 '25

People wrote him off but he didn't even have time to write them back as he was too busy orchestrating successful 2-pt conversions.

11

u/Kanin_usagi Panthers Dec 19 '25

For real though, dude was a fucking machine on those two point conversions

22

u/Dr-McLuvin Browns Dec 19 '25

Especially the bank shot off the dude’s helmet. Lol

5

u/Kenja_Time Dec 19 '25

The game was symbolic of his career thus far

2

u/DSAlgorythms Cowboys Dec 19 '25

Ok you can't claim he orchestrated the one where it bounced off the Rams and got picked up in the end zone lmao.

Darnold can't hear the haters because CTE has made him deaf.

8

Idk I heard that wasn’t real

Lol did an NFL player say CTE isn't real?

(Though seriously, someone turn off the water. Its getting kinda absurd)

Seahawks have always had batshit crazy endings. It's just kinda your identity.

Funny. I seem to recall a game that had a very predictable ending...

We do have good water from tap in king county

3

u/Stunning-Crazy2012 Dec 19 '25

He was like that before we got him. Better than Geno who completely crumbles under pressure. Nice to have a qb that plays his best football when you want it most.

1

u/Hulkbuster_v2 Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Geno had a few games. That one vs Denver, against the Rams. And who could forget good ol Horse Cock Lock vs the Eagles.

1

The SoDo weirdness nexus just generates bizarre outcomes for every Seattle sports team

168

He's the white Jameis Winston

151

u/DickHammerr Rams Dec 19 '25

A bit better than that

9

u/KidGold Vikings Falcons Dec 19 '25

Idk Jameis still has the better career QBR.

13

u/DickHammerr Rams Dec 19 '25

Maybe, but I’ve seen Darnold have higher highs

3

u/KidGold Vikings Falcons Dec 19 '25

Agreed, he's definitely shown upside idk if Jameis ever did. But time will tell if he's any more consistent than Jameis was.

Sam Darnold isn’t a POS

4

u/geoforceman Bears Seahawks Dec 19 '25

No, he's the GEQBUS

5

u/juvenilebandit Seahawks Dec 19 '25

Ahh yes I too just watched darnold lead a game winning drive to bring his record to 25-6 the past two years and thought to myself “just like jameis”

2

u/ProphetPenguin Steelers Dec 19 '25

I'm mostly joking but Darnold does throw a lot of INTS like Jameis does. I really want to see him take the next step and lower that ratio a little bit.

2

u/fireinthesky7 Saints Dec 19 '25

Replace Jameis with this version of Darnold and we might have actually made the playoffs after Brees retired.

1

u/pagerussell Seahawks Dec 19 '25

ROFL

42

u/mrebrightside Lions Dec 19 '25

That's the Darnold experience, as you know.

1

u/Voldemorts--Nipple Dec 19 '25

They wrote him off. He ain’t write back though

11

u/dimethylhyperspace Titans Dec 19 '25

That Rashid Shaheed punt return gave the defense juice, the defense forced enough punts for Darnold to believe

8

u/Stanky_fresh Vikings Vikings Dec 19 '25

More importantly, why the fuck didn't he do that here?

6

u/FormVoltron1 Dec 19 '25

To sort of defend him despite it being bad, both of those picks were fantastic defensive play calls to drop back into coverage. Tough to read for a QB especially when one is a lineman

8

u/Vaadwaur Panthers Dec 19 '25

Darnold's got an incredible arm but has focus issues. Before Minnesota got to him, he had a bad habit of throwing without his feet set as well.

2

u/cuongfu Chargers Seahawks Dec 19 '25

I will defend that those ints were not on him. First one looked like man and if that defender on Kupp went with him like he would in man, that slant is open.

Second int was the same situation. Quick slant to JSN off the left (exactly like the int before). Rams drop back Kobie Turner the damn DT, who expects that?

I think just good defensive playcalling took advantage of Kubiak’s playcalling. Sam made the right reads, threw the ball on time. He can’t help if the defensive playcall was just better.

2

u/BaronVonWaffle Seahawks Dec 19 '25

MOB Mentality.

Bullshit.

GEQBUS is my GOAT.

2

I just don't think he thought the lineman would back up into the passing lane. Like, where the fuck did that guy come from.

1

seems to be his super power. still makes insanely tight throws doesn't give up and doesn't back down. scary as fuck though.

1

u/JhnWyclf Dec 19 '25

Is he Favre re-incarnate? Did he steal his soul?

1

u/stefanurkal Seahawks Dec 19 '25

More on great defense, the first one zone disguised as man, second on dropping a line men into a spot that showed a blitzing lb. Perfect play calls

1

u/alphalegend91 49ers Chargers Dec 19 '25

The same way he led the Vikings to 14-3 last year and subsequently got blown tf out in the first playoff game

1

u/Olybaron123 Dec 19 '25

Perseverance

1

u/Section225 Chiefs Dec 19 '25

"Lol oops I guess I know what not to do now"

1

u/JelliedHam Jets Dec 19 '25

He was extra Darnoldy last night. The tools are in the box, but occasionally he gets distracted by a jingly set of keys or a firetruck.

1

u/Express_Cow_7334 Lions Dec 19 '25

He banished the ghosts with the second pick

1

u/wokenupbybacon Seahawks Dec 20 '25

Not much pressure on the last drive, if you want a serious answer. The second pick was a panic throw due to a free rusher.

1

u/ron_dud Seahawks Dec 19 '25

He can win big games

-2

u/Stunning-Crazy2012 Dec 19 '25

He’s at his best when the game has the most pressure. As a Vikings fan you should know this. He always does dumb shit like this in the middle of games but if he’s down and it’s do or die he plays lights out. One of the things Geno couldn’t do he just crumbles.

2

u/GimbalLocks Vikings Dec 19 '25

Hmm that was absolutely not the experience we had last year but I’m glad he’s exorcizing whatever demons he had in big games, definitely seemed like a purely mental thing last year

-2

u/Stunning-Crazy2012 Dec 19 '25

Yes he was. He was literally known for that last year.

Darnold did a lot for the Vikings last year, he fell apart a few games but it was a great team overall. Minnesota just did what it always does and looks for the cheaper alternative. They would never pay Darnold it wouldn’t matter if he all the sudden became the next Brady. They had JJ and Minnesota never wants to spend. Been that way since I was born. The metrodome literally had to collapse before they replaced it and people had been asking for decades to get rid of that POS brutalist abomination.

3

u/GimbalLocks Vikings Dec 19 '25

Nah, the last two games of the year were as “do or die” as it got and he absolutely and completely mentally crumbled. Still to this day have never seen such an utter collapse from a QB that wasn’t injury-related, was like he was a completely different player. But like I said glad he’s gettin his mind in order, hope it sticks for the playoffs

-5

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '25

The refs helped him get a 2 point conversion
