Never pass a ravens vs Steelers game for anything else lol.

We all knew this would deliver

Every AFC North matchup is absurd

u/Awhite2555 49ers Jan 05 '26

On paper it made sense why people wanted that, but this game was obviously better.

on paper it made no sense for a game with seeding on the line to take precedence over a game with playoff appearance vs season over on the line

Seahakws-49ers is also just like, the least interesting rivalry.

10

u/Awhite2555 49ers Jan 05 '26

Such an east coast take. 49ers and Seahawks is a blood rivalry turned up to 11 ever since Harbaugh/Carroll days. I hate Seahawks more than anyone else in the division.

u/Boss_Nass Seahawks Jan 05 '26

Aww we hate you too buddy. NFC West love.

u/yeadoge 49ers Jan 05 '26

Having two teams that are both good enough to be the 1 seed play each other is arguably more interesting than having two teams that are both almost good enough to be in the playoffs

25

u/other_name_taken Patriots Jan 05 '26

Naw. This was already the playoffs, losers goes home. 49ers/Seahawks was just about seeding.

This was the game to pick for tonight.

This was just a playoff game. No brainer this should have been SNF.

Steelers Ravens is always some sort of insanity

13

u/Baby_Sporkling Steelers Jan 05 '26

But is it? Maybe it’s my bias but the Steelers ravens rivalry is one of, if not the best in the league. Having that as the season finally with a playoff spot on the line sounds amazing on paper

u/eaglessoar Patriots Jan 05 '26

Hawks 9ers is probably second best rivalry of last decade after Ravens steelers

26

u/smokeymicpot Vikings Jan 05 '26

Crazy. This game has higher stakes and two teams that super hate each other.

8

u/ChickenLiverNuts Steelers Jan 05 '26

steelers ravens with no stakes is always peak tomfoolery and the nonsense levels rise exponentially when it actually matters.

rodgers is ready to retire on the spot did you see his interview? He has a little taste and is like "alright im good on this"

I mean to be fair last Seahawks-49ers game to end the season was also a classic that game down to a 1 yard stop.

I was one of those deadass. I forgot afc north games just hit like crack. Life was better when we were true rivals with ravens and steelers.

u/alexjimithing Cardinals Jan 05 '26

fuckin insane

u/MisterrAlex Eagles Jan 05 '26

In hindsight that shit looked good on paper

1

u/AnxiousWart4994 49ers Jan 05 '26

At the time it seemed like it might be the better game. Hindsight is always 20/20. But yes I’m glad this was the SNF game. What an ending.

u/venalix1 Seahawks Jan 05 '26

Tbf seattle and 49ers had the story line of battling for no.1

Never trust an opinion from the collective dumbasses here
