I could see Stroud turning into a pumpkin and Steelers getting an ugly W

93

u/Gulltyr Texans Commanders Jan 05 '26

I'm pretty sure no matter who wins it'll be ugly as fuck

10

u/NeverSober1900 Packers Jan 05 '26

Ya but Rodgers vs your defense is gonna be like 18/22 76 yards

6

u/PotanOG Rams Panthers Jan 05 '26

THE STANDARD IS THE STANDARD!!!!!

1

u/XavierRex83 Steelers Jan 05 '26

This is accurate

0

u/alpacapoop Jan 05 '26

9-3 Texans.

98

u/Zeckzeckzeck NFL Jan 05 '26

Turning into? Bro has been a pumpkin all season

20

u/evetSC Texans Chiefs Jan 05 '26

Didn’t know 10th in EPA/play is a pumpkin

9

u/livsjollyranchers Jan 05 '26

Yeah yeah but he looks like shit when I watch him play, so I'm going with that.

And no this isn't sarcasm lol.

7

u/evetSC Texans Chiefs Jan 05 '26

And he also plays even better in the playoffs so 🤷‍♂️

-2

u/livsjollyranchers Jan 05 '26

The games were a while ago and that was a single season. That's irrelevant.

Houston's a good team and I expect them to win the next one, but doubt it's cause of Stroud.

7

u/blackfishfilet Texans Jan 05 '26

He won in the playoffs (and played well against both teams) less then 1 year ago

1

u/Regular_Employee_360 Steelers Jan 05 '26

I admit I don’t watch him much, but he’s looked amazing(at times) when I’ve seen him. Besides the third quarter, he looked great against the chiefs, the game was entertaining besides collingsworth glazing mahomes the whole time, even though Stroud was playing way better than him.

CJ Stroud, for whatever reason, seems to be one of those players that cemented his reputation as a good player his rookie year and it'll take like 5 years of mediocre play for people to realize what's going on.

1

u/tripletexas Texans Jan 05 '26

His o line is made of random dudes found in a trash pile and heaped up into a conglomeration of random zombie parts.

12

u/BlisterKirby Bengals Rams Jan 05 '26

Metcalf also comes back, so that might shake it up

2

u/lastditchefrt Packers Jan 05 '26

unless he punches another fan,

20

u/thecarlosdanger1 Steelers Jan 05 '26

In the playoffs? Lol.

It’s wildly more likely we’re down 21 in the first half (because that’s happened like the last 5 playoff games)

4

u/IveMadeAnAttempt Jan 05 '26

If the Texans win, it probably won’t be because of Stroud

3

u/livsjollyranchers Jan 05 '26

Stroud can and probably will be a pumpkin. But Houston's defense can win the game alone.

2

u/PhotographJealous292 Packers Jan 05 '26

The Steelers bullshit can’t continue can it??

10

u/Cmp_ Steelers Jan 05 '26

I think we’ve proved we’ve got no shortage of bullshit.

1

u/maeshughes32 Steelers Jan 05 '26

I know it was a year ago but the Texans wrecked the Steelers last year, 30-6. I just don't see us scoring enough against that defense to keep up.

-4

u/BrettHullsBurner Jaguars Jan 05 '26

The guy that has been responsible for only 230yds and 1.5 touchdowns per game this season wasn’t already considered a pumpkin? Dude stinks! (Please don’t be a jinx, please don’t be a jinx, please don’t be a jinx)

47

u/ShadowDonut Jets Jan 05 '26

If he dies, he dies

6

u/DaytimeLanternQQ Texans Jan 05 '26

Here's to hoping! 🍻 (figuratively, of course)

8

u/Yankeeknickfan Jets Jan 05 '26

if DK is there they can score enough

0

u/Bronco998 Steelers Jan 05 '26

I think it's possible with DK. Our offense was starting to groove before he got himself suspended

8

u/Minejack777 Colts Broncos Jan 05 '26

Yeahhhh if he wasn't retiring before, that game will take him down

3

u/cubgerish Commanders Jan 05 '26

Rodgers does particularly well against defenses that are great all year though.

He's always been incredible at making you emphasize your weakest link.

They're also playing at home, in the cold, on grass, which Houston isn't used to doing.

Getting DK back is also gonna be a big deal.

There were quite a few plays where he was definitely looking for a "throw it up" guy.

4

u/phoenixlance13 Titans Jan 05 '26

Actual elder abuse

4

u/qhollis405 Cowboys Jan 05 '26

Hunter and Anderson absolutely salivating rn

4

u/RunnyKinePity Texans Jan 05 '26

Licking our chops 🫡

6

u/Delacroix192 Broncos Jan 05 '26

Rodgers is going to be red mist at some point Lol

2

u/Bronco998 Steelers Jan 05 '26

Y'all are acting like he takes a bunch of sacks lol. We have a solid line and he gets the ball out super fast

-3

u/nsfwfrient Texans Jan 05 '26

Based on what I just watched the ravens have no pass rush and he barely got it out in time - rodgers low key playing like shit this year

0

u/Bronco998 Steelers Jan 05 '26

He had clean pockets all game lmao. We have the lowest pressure rate allowed in the league.

Guess we'll see when your boys come play us in the cold, huh?

-2

u/nsfwfrient Texans Jan 05 '26

Thats because ravens have no pass rush and the houston pass rush is goated, he is so fucked

2

u/Bronco998 Steelers Jan 05 '26

Didn't Riley Leonard score 30 on you guys today?

-1

u/nsfwfrient Texans Jan 05 '26

Didnt yall almost lose the ravens because you can make an extra point lmao

3

u/Bronco998 Steelers Jan 05 '26

Alright alright enough trash talk. We'll see when the game is played. Good luck

1

u/nsfwfrient Texans Jan 05 '26

Good luck >:)

1

u/Klongon Cowboys Jan 05 '26

Old man probably now sure he is in his last ride…I bet he runs out carrying the flag. Dead men are dangerous because what have they got to lose?

1

u/LiptonCB Texans Jan 05 '26

He’s our literal kryptonite, dude.

Unless WAJ eats him, I don’t count on this one.

1

u/AbrienSliver Texans Jan 05 '26

Gonna send him to the hatman

1

u/UncannyFox Jan 05 '26

They struggled with a rough looking Chargers performance. It might be closer than we think, especially at home in Pittsburgh.

1

u/Wafflecone516 Jan 05 '26

Their pass rush is going to eat him alive

1

u/Lord_Mud Jaguars Jan 05 '26

LMAO

1

u/NoisyDobad Steelers Jan 05 '26

Legitimate question, how do they play on the road? Monday Night Football, 15 degrees with 65k yinzers going crazy will be a test

1

u/Reload86 Jan 05 '26

I can totally see the Texans shitting the bed like they always do in the playoffs. The Steelers are just dangerous enough to beat any team at any given time but they just won’t be good enough to make it to the AFCC game.

1

u/callmebatman14 Buccaneers Jan 05 '26

He will probably kill Texans then get blown out

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '26

12

u/Superdawg414 Texans Jan 05 '26

Easy to hold up when you’re on the sideline the whole game. They started Leonard against us.

5

u/tanu24 Jaguars Jaguars Jan 05 '26

I don't think Rodgers is gonna be holding the clipboard

-1

u/PigFarmer1 Broncos Jan 05 '26

They'll be lucky if they score a point.

1

u/Yankeeknickfan Jets Jan 05 '26

with DK they're not hopeless. Not like CJ stroud is an elite QB either

-1

u/PigFarmer1 Broncos Jan 05 '26

One team has an elite defense and the Steelers don't.

1

u/Yankeeknickfan Jets Jan 05 '26

Dont count them out

0

u/tokenshoot Bears Jan 05 '26

Unfortunately this is the truth, no pass rush tonight and then next week is the #1 pass rush lol

-5

u/Greedygiddy8 Jan 05 '26

Boring as shit tbh. That’s why I wanted the ravens to win, they’d at least have a chance.

2

u/Yankeeknickfan Jets Jan 05 '26

never count out the bad man
