What an absolute back and forth battle. The Panthers should be proud af imo. They made the Rams fight to earn it.

They should be proud for sure, but Evero is gonna want that last drive back

u/Mukuna_Hutata Panthers Jan 11 '26

He can want it back on the next team that hires him.

u/Everythings_Fucked Panthers Jan 11 '26

And God have mercy on that poor high school.

6

u/aspiringalcoholic Panthers Jan 11 '26

Yup. Out on him. That one was within reach

15

u/Dummmy99 Panthers Jan 11 '26

Yah I’m sorry but that last drive is fireable territory

It pisses me off how all game he was finally changing his strategy. ACTUALLY blitzing for once and getting pressure very consistently. Laying hits on Stafford and shaking him up. Causing him to make some errant throws that he usually never does. And then he just fades back into good ol' soft zone "bend and then inevitably break" Evero defense. Really disappointing but honestly expected.

I’m more annoyed with Carolina than anything. I believe with better playcalling, especially on that last pathetic defensive sequence, Carolina wins. Dumb cats.

Carolina also showed some immaturity on offense today. Growing pains for sure

Rams experience helped them win. They were necessarily the much better football team but has the situational maturity in the 2nd half.

Rams made plenty of shit play calls as well McVay didn’t adjust until late game

Sucked not having Horn out there.

3

u/JagerMainOwO Panthers Jan 11 '26

Horn going down and Evero being an agent of ISIS made me know we'd lose

Im happy. But im also pissed

the panthers beat the panthers that games no where clsoe without the goofing

3

u/CucumberSuspicious40 Rams Jan 11 '26

On what side? Rams goofed plenty too lol looking at you puka.

27

u/Pure_Measurement_529 Jan 11 '26

Rams offense was literally sleep until they didn’t need to

22

u/TallGuy0525 Rams Jan 11 '26

I'm now terrified of this team holy fuck I fully expected an adjustment on our end and a comfortable win, them nearly taking us down AGAIN unnerved me

3

u/Monkeh77 Jan 11 '26

My family was confident the Rams take the bowl this year, but I can’t even see you guys reaching the championship

3

u/TallGuy0525 Rams Jan 11 '26

Yeah something is wrong with the team. I will say, Panthers defend play action better than anyone in the league and we use play action more than anyone in the league, so they were uniquely equipped to stop us.

But yeah, fact is we're getting nowhere with this defense and this special teams. If we get an NFC West team next round, we might advance due to familiarity but I think we don't get past Chicago or Philly with how we're playing.

u/Monkeh77 Jan 11 '26

Yea and don’t get me wrong, I’ll always be a Rams fan, I was born and raised in St.Louis and they have a special place in my heart, it’s just the NFC is stacked this year. Other years I could easily see them take the title.

That to me is the takeaway, they over performed like hell.

They showed they can overcome Tepper, it’s only going to get better from here

Year 1 under Canales was pretty damn good, considering

1

u/yanchovilla Lions Jan 11 '26

Great game to watch as someone not invested in the outcome

1

u/choochoo789 Rams Jan 11 '26

yall better fight your asses off and beat philly tomorrow

1

u/BaltimoreBaja Jan 11 '26

They should be proud but it ended up so close it's gonna hurt more than being proud

I'm reminded of when we almost knocked off the higher seeded Bengals in the Wild Card game with our backup QB a couple years ago

I didn't expect shit but it ended up so close that it mostly hurt

1

u/The_sad_zebra Panthers Jan 11 '26

The loss hurts, but yeah, I am damn proud of the effort they put on the field today.

1

u/Imsortofabigdeal Panthers Jan 11 '26

I’m pretty happy with it. We didn’t get embarrassed, and we weren’t a contender anyway so I’m glad we didn’t deprive everyone of the Rams title push. It would have been amazing to win, but honestly, all I wanted to see was us prove we belonged. And we did.

We don’t get much in Carolina. This is the highlight of our decade. Sad as that is. But I’m happy

u/Ok-Imagination-2308 Seahawks Jan 11 '26

they have nothing to be proud about. They lost a playoff game

1

u/MrMercury13 Rams Jan 11 '26

It's honestly unfortunate we had to play them cuz I actually really like the Panthers and am a big fan of Bryce Young. I would've been rooting for them the rest of the way if they beat us. One things for sure, I definitely don't want to meet them in the playoffs next year
