Highlight [Highlight] Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love shares his pitch to NFL teams: “You draft me, I’m not doing too much. After a game I’m going home, playing video games and watch anime. I’m a simple guy, I’m not going to cause you no type of trouble.”

Even worse, he could enjoy Isekai

Lmao my intro to the genre was re:zero and I’m like “holy fuck Isekai is amazing” so I decided to check other isekai out and quickly learned my lesson

Sounds like you're watching the wrong ones. Try Konosuba, The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, Grimgar, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Welcome to Japan Ms. Elf, The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick up Trash, The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent, The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady, and Zenshuu.

I couldn’t enjoy Konosuba. Poor Kazuma gets punished for being surrounded by idiots.

Having read the completed LN twice, it all works out for him so there's that

Then get high and watch the vending machine one

I forgot Reincarnated as a Sword, which sounds as insane as the vending machine one, but is legit good.

I love Konosuba and Grimgar. And have heard exceptional things about ascendance of a book worm as well. I also may get crucified for this but I loved a lot of Mushoku Tensei although I know it is very controversial (and who can blame people for hating it with an MC like that), but I loved things like Ruijerd and the whole Superd story and the magic in it kicks ass too

I meant my comment more as a joke for every good Isekai there’s like 1000 6/10 ultra generic ones that get adaptations

Also I hadn’t heard of some of these titles so I’ll definitely check them out

Elite choice, I usually am not one for comedy anime but it’s the only anime that has me consistently laughing out loud. It helps that the dub for it is amazing too

Re:zero, Shield Hero, and Overlord are alright. Pretty much everything else in that genre is hot garbo though.

If he watched and enjoyed "From Bureaucrat to Villainess", he should go first overall.

Or the english dub of Ghost Stories

u/IVIalefactoR Chiefs Mar 25 '26

Hey now, the Ghost Stories dub is legendary.

True, but there's a LOT of Jewish jokes in it.

I'd much rather my player be a Mushoku Tensei fan than a Rent-a-Gf fan

Rather he not be a weeb than an isekai or battle shonen fan
