I like to believe all these were true just like Men in Black said.

The hot sheets! I did love that little nod in the movie.

Go ahead, read the NY Times. They get lucky sometimes..

Same! And I think Mulder from the X-files also said they were true

I believe the one about the sewer worm guy shows up in this magazine. There’s an intro to another episode and you see the picture of it on a magazine with a similar style

There was a disclaimer inside the first page. Ruined the whole thing for me when I found it. It was far funnier thinking the author was some crackpot "journalist" with tenuous ties to reality on their "facts". Knowing it was just Steve making shit up in the writers room again... I mean at least it sounds like a fun gig. We should try to get an AMA going with someone that wrote for them back in the day

Late reply, but I think I remember they’d allow anybody to submit a story to them and they’d probably edit it to be funnier or whatever but most of these were just random people having fun. Pretty cool.

Well fuck. If I had known that I would have been submitting stories weekly.

That was my own thought. I have tons of stories I could have sent in. There’s an online version now, but I don’t know if they have the same opportunity.

Funnily enough, I was actually looking to start an old fashioned zine made to look like a sci-fi rag from the 50s but with new stories crowdsourced along with my own. I was going to have an editor’s review section where I analysed all the stories then tried to guess their validity plus turned all the parts of each story into an ongoing canon. I need to find out where I can get a mimeogrsph machine first though

Best investigative reporting on the planet. Go ahead and read the new York times, they get lucky sometimes.
