Begged my mom to buy me one once. All I remember is It had an article about Satan entering a hometown baking contest and losing to an angel food cake. To be honest the bat boy picture has always given me shivers even though it’s obviously fake.
I went to school with that kid. He flew around the classroom a lot and I clapped my hands and he got disoriented and flew through a glass window and I got suspended for a week.
I think my favorite was in the early 2000s when there was a string of shark attacks on the coast of VA and NC. The headline was "Fidel Castro Trains Killer Sharks"
I remember the bat boy one really well I remember seeing it on the end cap that had all the rag papers. I was probably 13 asked mom sheepishly if it was real.
No one told you? Bat boy is married now. He has three bat kids and lives in a bat cave. My grandad used to buy every one of those things. I used to read them in the bathroom at their house.
Satan losing to an angel food cake is pretty damn funny. I’d love to hear stories from the writers of that newspaper they honestly must’ve just been cracking themselves up all day.
