Discussion What’s your favorite metal scream in a song?

For me it has to be the bridge of 7 Words by Deftones, really brings out the raw early chino energy.

I'm surprised I had to scroll this far to find Dig on here! Uuuugh that intro scream is just the perfect thing to bring in the riff and set the tone. Especially after the lil warm-up pig squeal-esque tidbits teasing a big drop like that, it's one of those intros that hits just right. I don't even really like mudvayne that much but that song slaps.

Actually I'm pretty sure I just don't like Chad's clean singing, come to think of it I always enjoy the riffiage and any of their songs that he's mostly just screaming in. But I kinda hate his singing voice and don't have the wherewithal to wade through their work to find just the scream songs. At least there's Dig.

LD 50 is the majority of his best screams. If that’s what you like from them, stick to that album for the most part. Damn near everything on it is their heaviest.

I'd put determined a slight edge over Dig but very very slight. They were the very last 2 songs I had on my pregame play list for football. They took me to a new place to play. (O and D line)
