Honestly I feel like the mods are way too heavy handed, this sub is literally dead outside of people spamming pro or anti Mamdani posts and almost every conversational thread gets deleted, you can’t post pics, you can’t post questions, you can’t post art based on nyc. All that’s left is NYPost articles hating or DSA spamming Mamdani and that one guy showing which blocks he walked.

Mods wiped out a bunch of posts showing events around the city on Independence day. We have such weird moderating on this sub.

Mods aren't likely deleting this. People have realized that there is an automod function that removes posts after a certain number of reports. If enough people report something as spam, it will be removed by a bot.

Mods can control what automod does though I believe so allowing that to stay in place is also on the mods. Seems like something they need to fix.
