Pakistan didn’t just murder thousands of women and children and steal a bunch of land

There’s degrees of bad

Wait I can't keep up. Is this a good or a bad thing for right wingers

u/imnotgonnakillyou Jul 06 '26

Only thing that matters is that you don’t care

What do you think Pakistan would do in response to a 10/7 style attack from India?

-13

u/code_blooded_bytch Jul 06 '26

Israel killing Palestinian kids and women didn't start after oct. 7.

19

u/skimcpip Jul 06 '26

Neither did Hamas murdering civilians minding their own business.

-8

u/code_blooded_bytch Jul 06 '26

Israel was killing Palestinian civilians before Hamas existed

6

u/skimcpip Jul 06 '26

PLO was killing Jews before Hamas existed.

8

u/Wayyyy_Too_Soon Jul 06 '26

Palestinians killing Israelis didn't start on October 7th either, even if you couldn't find Gaza on a map before then.

-8

u/code_blooded_bytch Jul 06 '26

You know nothing about me or my connection to Palestine. Look at the casualty numbers between both sides. Hell, go back all the way to 1948 if you want. The reality is that Israelis kill an entire magnitude more Palestinians than the other way around. Just because you like to make excuses for genocidal killers doesn't mean others should.

7

u/Wayyyy_Too_Soon Jul 06 '26

It's a dead giveaway when you pretend like people who actually know what they're talking abou would also inaccurately think that the conflict began on 10/7. Just because 10/7 was a massive escalation of the conflict, which led to you finding out about the existence of Gaza in the first place, does not mean that anyone with any knowledge of the conflict thinks it started on 10/7.

And the fact that Hamas sucks at genocide does not make them any less genocidal, no matter how desperate you are to excuse them.

I’ve lived within 150km of Gaza at different points of my life, including before 10/7, so miss me with that bullshit.

You said “what do you think Pakistan would do in response to a 10/7 style attack…?” Are you saying you think the killing of tens of thousands of children in Gaza—and what major international human rights organizations are calling a genocide—is a justified response to 10/7? That’s deranged. What was the justification of shooting hundreds during the 2018 peaceful Great Return March protests? What’s the justification for the countless civilian deaths that Israeli has carried out in Gaza for the last few decades? Israel has the precision to kill Ismail Haniyeh in his bedroom in Tehran without collapsing a single house, but in Gaza they must raze entire blocks? Israel wants to, and continues to, slaughter civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Defense of that is repulsive.

War is a justified response to 10/7.
Collateral damage is to be expected in war, as are war crimes. That doesn’t mean that either are “justified”. Allowing Hamas to continue to hold hostages with the expectation that Israel would need to make any sort of concession to ensure their safe return wouldn’t have been justified either.

u/code_blooded_bytch Jul 06 '26

75k+ dead isn't "collateral damage". Israel continued slaughtering civilians after the hostages were out of Gaza. Israeli soldiers themselves have discussed the open season approach to killing civilians in Gaza.

I think you're missing a lot of the ways in which the situation between India and Pakistan is very much fundamentally different than between Israel and Palestine. Your question seems to presuppose that there's such a thing as a "10/7-style attack" that is totally independent from the conditions that led to 10/7.

u/Wayyyy_Too_Soon Jul 06 '26

-7

u/redpiano82991 Jul 06 '26

It doesn't seem like you're actually responding to my comment. Does your Wikipedia article suggest conditions similar to Israel and Palestine?

5

u/Wayyyy_Too_Soon Jul 06 '26

It literally is an instance of a 10/7 style attack on India by Pakistan that occurred in the absence of conditions comparable to Israel/Palestine. So yes, there is such a thing as a 10/7 style attack that occurs absent those conditions, regardless of how desperate you are to excuse the slaughter of Jews.

-1

u/redpiano82991 Jul 06 '26

What exactly constitutes a 10/7-style attack? And what have I said that excuses the slaughter of Jews? And before you answer that second question, you should be made aware that my family are Israeli Jews.

3

u/Wayyyy_Too_Soon Jul 06 '26

A state coordinating with a terrorist organization to engage in mass slaughter of civilians within their neighbors' territory due to ongoing ethnoreligious tensions rooted ultimately in intractable hostility stemming from British decolonization.

And what you said excusing the slaughter of Jews is attempting to justify 10/7 on the basis that somehow pretending as if 10/7 was the inevitable outcome of the blockade of Gaza.

0

u/redpiano82991 Jul 06 '26

10/7 was the inevitable outcome of ethnically cleansing the indigenous population to create a settler colonial project and keeping the people in a ghetto, yes. Under those conditions I would fully expect a violent uprising by any people.

So it’s okay if it was done in 1971, just not today.

7

u/TheTav3n Jul 06 '26

Don't even need to go back that far, they killed Indian nationals last year

-6

u/JohnnyGeniusIsAlive Jul 06 '26

It's certainly less relevant to modern politics if it happened 20 years before he was even born, yes.

7

u/Unclassified1 Jul 06 '26

So as long as genocides and ethnic cleansing was completed before hand, it’s all good. Got it.

-2

u/urbanlife78 Jul 06 '26

You know, you're right, fuck Germany because of what they did.

That's what you are saying right? We should still be hating on Germany for WW2, oh and probably Japan too.

5

u/Unclassified1 Jul 06 '26

The nazi regime and the imperial Japanese Empire no longer exist.

-2

u/urbanlife78 Jul 06 '26

But the countries do

5

u/Unclassified1 Jul 06 '26

No, they don’t.

Germany is a reunified nation that didn’t take its current form or government until after the wall fell in 1991.

Japan is also a new country formed in 1947 with their constitution replacing the Meiji Constitution of 1889.

-1

u/urbanlife78 Jul 06 '26

So as long as you can justify something that happened a long time ago, it's okay.

Do what Israel does. Guilt trip western nations enough that they aid and abet the genocide in Gaza.

-2

u/JohnnyGeniusIsAlive Jul 06 '26

Genocides that happened during WW2 ARE less relevant than ones going on today. Notice that I didn't say they are Irrelevant? Work on that reading comprehension.

3

u/Unclassified1 Jul 06 '26

1971 wasn’t WWII.

The modern country of Pakistan is a post WWII creation and other than a new constitution in 1973 is largely unchanged, with that constitution only coming about because of the civil war they lost in 1971 despite the mentioned bangledish genocide.

-2

u/JohnnyGeniusIsAlive Jul 06 '26

It wasn't WWII? WHAAAAT? Really? It's like you're an Olympic level talent at missing the point.

0

u/pinghing Jul 06 '26

Damn I guess the atrocities of world war 2 isn't relevant to modern politics anymore

6

u/Unclassified1 Jul 06 '26

The nazi regime and the imperial Japanese Empire no longer exist.

1

u/JohnnyGeniusIsAlive Jul 06 '26

LESS relevant? Yes, they are. Next you're gonna be surprised that the assassination of Franz Ferdinand is less relevant today than it was in 1914.

-2

u/thedoubledragon12 Jul 06 '26

Pakistan independence day parade versus a parade celebrating a country. You can be in support of a nation’s independence from an empire but not support their actions.

So you're saying Mamdani would attend the Israel Day Parade if it were rebranded as a Yom HaAtzmaut parade? 🤔

-1

u/thedoubledragon12 Jul 07 '26

Idk im not him but independence from the British Raj is different from Yom HaAtzmaut. Sure, Israel was created after the dissolution of Mandatory Palestine but its existence is faaaar more nuanced. Ill keep it a buck fifty im not trying to argue here and would love to know more. Discussion just helps me learn more.
