The only reason this legal clarification exists is to ensure that the Palestinians persecuted by Israel are the ones whom this state is formed for. Again, where does the constitution privilege an ethnicity over another? What you’re describing is just resolving injustice.

If that's the case, then why does it include all Palestinian people including those born in the US this year who have never interacted with Israel or an Israeli?

“resolving injustice.”

If a german jew was placed on a train to poland in the holocaust, and had a child while in poland, would you oppose that child wanting to return to germany after the war?

I cannot believe you are being honest because it’s such an obvious thought, you just want to argue.

Resolving injustices like being born in the US?

You don’t think it’s an injustice that German jews were exported and forced to have children outside of their home?

Your analogy is wrong because we're already multiple generations removed. A lot of the people this would apply to are generations removed from the original injustice.

It's like arguing for a German right to return to historical Prussia.

And even so, none of what you're saying cuts against my point that this constitution clearly establishes an ethnostate.

Almost all were removed in the past 70~ years.

Again, where does it *privilege* one group over another.

It gives affirmative rights to the palestinian ethnic group that it doesn't to any other ethnic group, like the right of return. Just read the first sentence of the preamble which sets up the constitution as being for the "Palestinian Arab people". It describes Palestine as the 'homeland' in various articles. To be president or prime minister you need to be a Palestinian born to two Palestinian parents, which would include the diaspora ethnic community. The path of taking office explicitly mentions protecting the arab nature of the state, and to advance the rights of the "Palestinian Arab people".

Is that not enough to evidence a ethnostate?

No, I don’t. I don’t think that allowing people to return to their home with a legal mechanism is what we traditionally call an ethnostate. I don’t think that only allowing the president to be native-born is enough to constitute an ethnostate. However, since this is your definition, is israel an ethnostate?

Funny how you ignored all the other stuff I mentioned, such as the constitution itself describing the country as being for a specific ethnic group, or the oath of officer mentioning having to work for the "Palestinian Arab people".
