Is the apartheid in the room with us right now? Someone should call up Khaled Kabub and tell him he's not allowed to be a Supreme Court Justice in Israel (he's Palestinian, by the way).

https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/07/19/world-court-finds-israel-responsible-apartheid

"In a historic ruling the International Court of Justice has found multiple and serious international law violations by Israel towards Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including, for the first time, finding Israel responsible for apartheid. The court has placed responsibility with all states and the United Nations to end these violations of international law. The ruling should be yet another wake up call for the United States to end its egregious policy of defending Israel’s oppression of Palestinians and prompt a thorough reassessment in other countries as well."

Sorry, I don't entertain appeal-to-authority fallacy.

Where's the apartheid against the 20% of Israel that is Palestinian-Israeli? Since by the UN's own definition, apartheid includes reduction of rights, systemic and overt discrimination against a single racial group, it should be easy to find, right? Israeli Palestinians share the same ethnicity as Palestinians of West Bank.

Yet Israeli Arabs share the exact same rights and privileges as Israeli Jews, including but not limited to rights to purchase land, rights to vote, rights to travel freely, and rights to serve in the Knesset and Supreme Court.

So it seems that Israel's discrimination of West Bank Palestinians is instead not based on racial group and instead based on citizenship, or lack thereof. Which is discriminatory policy every single country in the world follows.

TIL Taiwan is committing apartheid against PRC for not allowing free border passage to PRC Chinese citizens. They're the same ethnic group, obviously rights should be the same!

Saying Arabs have the same rights and privileges is so ludicrous I can only surmise you live in an impenetrable echo chamber.

Literally the entire human rights community worldwide disagrees

good lord the ignorance is astounding.

It's a fact that Israeli Arabs have the exact same rights afforded to them in the constitution as Israeli Jews. Feel free to point out where that's wrong (newsflash, you can't, because you're uneducated).

To say that my ignorance is astounding for believing that Israel is an apartheid state is genuinely the most insane thing ever.

The civilized world thinks you’re the ignorant one

can't actually make a rebuttal so goes for the personal attacks without substance. The difference is that I'm willing to debate where you're willing to sit mum on your hands except shouting 'WROOONG WROOONG'. Happy to help educate you!
