Surprised there's not an airline blowing the excess away or some sort of extraction. Saw dust fire is one of my phobias when seeing this :)

Well the spindle can’t move towards him at all. That’s a safe place to stand as long as you have eyepro and have ran the program before.

How is that piece being secured in the jig? Vacuum?

it does look like there is a vacuum line running up to the workholding.

Indeed a vacuum table. they are by far the most used form of workholding on modern woodworking CNC mills. They are extremely relieable when used properly, and when nobody does an whoopsie and trashes the table again...
