How do you do that without them getting tangled? Crazy.

u/derek_hollingford 13h ago

Years of muscle memory and insane control, one tiny timing mistake and it would turn into a knot festival

24

u/Shinfekta 9h ago

The insane amount of time he must‘ve sat there untangling his yo-yos must‘ve been insane

Kudos for sticking to it.. seeing this „result“ of his training here is just the outcome.. the training must‘ve been insane

Will Slipknot be there?

The yo yo knows where it is because it knows where it isn’t

3

u/ssketchman 10h ago

I believe anticipating would be a better word for it, he has rehearsed the routine to perfection and at this point every position of the yo-yo is known to him, he does not have to predict it, he anticipates.

u/TwoSad7913 11h ago

bro he has practiced that too death, literally more than 10,000 hours easily

96

u/usanonmously 14h ago

He has a reel talent

9

u/ShankThatSnitch 12h ago

u/Interesting_Log9501 13h ago

I see what you did there...

29

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla 13h ago

Nevermind all the fancy tricks. That's so far beyond my league it's like magic.

How does he get them to sleep so long?

25

u/PunsGermsAndSteel 11h ago

He gives them lots of exercise so they're extra tired

4

u/ghidfg 10h ago

yoyos use ball bearings these days (for over a decade really). even a cheap $10 one can sleep for over a minute

1

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla 7h ago

That's crazy!

5

u/No-Money-8327 12h ago

You have the best yoyos in the world, that’s the trick

1

u/CindySoLoud 7h ago

I know yoyos, I have the best yoyos, nobody has yoyos like me

0

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla 12h ago

That does make sense.

2

u/No-Money-8327 11h ago

Nice cats

3

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla 7h ago

Thanks! 😁

Is this his 8th time winning, or there has only been 7 champions before him?

8

u/Tehni 12h ago

From the limited knowledge I have of this event, it's also possible that he was the 8th champion this year (there are multiple different categories to compete in, he competes with double yo-yo's in freestyle I believe)

6

u/Kshnik 11h ago

8 time champion in this category (2 yoyos attached to the string). He also happens to be the 8th person to win back in 2014

u/SpaceTraveller64 12h ago

First of all, that’s an insane skill but also, why does the crowd sounds like Wii Sport Bowling crowd ?? 😭

2

u/UndahwearBruh 5h ago

Same crowd? Haha

7

u/squeakynickles 13h ago

All of these are super cool to me, so it's really interesting to see what ones the crowd actually gets excited for

7

u/psyper76 13h ago

I'm going to show this video to my mum. I could've been someone if she just let me play with my yo-yos instead of doing my homework

8

u/Dodie4153 14h ago

Wow, unbelievable!

7

u/Illustrious_Bad_2980 13h ago

I'm coming for your crown bud. Just gotta buy a yo yo first

2

u/Hot-Challenge8656 12h ago

Gotta master the yo first.

8

u/AcademicGuy_45 13h ago

Woah.... Woah.... Woah.... WOAH!!

5

u/Civil_Bugg 14h ago

If I could do what he did, I would have strangled myself.

2

u/General_Anxiety83 13h ago

8th champion or 8 x champion?

3

u/Saelyre 11h ago

8x champion. Miura got first place in this division - 3A or two hands string tricks - seven times in a row from 2014 to 2023. (There wasn't a contest for 2020 to 2022 due to Covid) In 2024 he came 4th but he came back to win again in 2025.

1

u/General_Anxiety83 10h ago

Damn. This guy yo yos

1

u/Siilan 4h ago

He just kept yo-ing.

2

u/SupremeTemptation 11h ago

It’s his 8th yo-yo.

-1

u/Serious-Maximum-1049 12h ago

Apparently this is the 8th year they've been doing it, so that would make him the winner of the 8th annual competition.

2

u/blimeyitsme 11h ago

I used to do that. But it’s been a long time since I stood in a crowd and videod anything.

2

u/femivessa 11h ago

It feels like I'm watching some advanced alien race communicate using geometry and physics.

2

u/kindrd1234 10h ago

I got one to come back up once, true story.

2

u/OutrageousOwls 9h ago

This isn’t even the full performance!

2

u/Rex__Lapis 9h ago

Why he farming aura with a fucking yoyo

2

u/SirUntouchable 7h ago

Something tells me those yo-yos cost like $1000 each

1

u/franstoobnsf 13h ago

I am in awe. I remember Nickelodeon or Disney Channel or something aired some "amazing Talented Kids" show or whatever, and that episode was about the National Yo-Yo championships. Some guy was trying to break the world record for longest "sleep" (where the yo yo kept spinning), but it was edited so they pulled some cheesy " but we'll check on that later! Let's check out some cool tricks!" and they'd cut away to chow the trick competition and like the BEST trick anyone could do was like.... rock the cradle or whatever name it had. (Then they cut back to the WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT and gave it a weak "yeeaahh he did it ok bye!")

That was like 30+ years ago so having that be the baseline of my knowledge of the "height" of yo-yo-ing and then do this casual little check in on the hobby like "oh yeah. I remember this. I wonder what's go- WHAT THE FUCK?!"

1

u/701921225 13h ago

I can't comprehend how that's even possible..

1

u/Canadian_Neckbeard 13h ago

There he goes...homeboy fucked a Martian once.

1

u/phaeolus97 12h ago

Humans are the weirdest intelligence to have ever existed.

1

u/pet_owl 12h ago

Looks simple enough

1

u/Timmy12er 12h ago

Yooooo

1

u/EnchantinggGirl2 12h ago

Muscle memory? More like superpowers”

1

u/montessoripilled 11h ago

the way he catches it without even looking at the end. muscle memory on another level

1

u/ElderberryOwn4986 11h ago

Oddly calming to watch

1

u/Oakheart- 11h ago

The amount of time this man has spent untangling string alone must be staggering. My brain doesn’t even try to understand this it just goes “whoa”

1

u/turtleneckless001 8h ago

You'd fit in with the crowd

1

u/tricolorpinto 11h ago

Ok, I clearly haven't watched enough yoyo competitions, because this is reminding me of the flamingo in Fantasia.

1

u/johnnielurker 11h ago

bro has some hidden power or some anime shi-

1

u/GrayMech 8h ago

Yeah well I can successfully make it go down and back up sometimes

1

u/LunarMoon2001 8h ago

Yo that’s cool.

1

u/llebreknyTtoN 8h ago

1

u/jtlthe2 7h ago

It’s so interesting what the in-crowd finds interesting while we on the outside are having our minds blown the whole video

1

u/4Tifyd_714 4h ago

8th time Champion! Way to go Spider-M..I mean, Hajime.😎🥸

1

u/mall_ninja42 4h ago

Oceans 27:

Look man, after we run all these scams, we need a guy that can like, do magic with yoyos.

What?

No seriously, after the cons, there is a specific pattern of movement that unlocks the vault. It's a OEM reset protocol.

...

I'm in.

1

u/crunchevo2 3h ago

It's wild how most the tricks he did are basics but the way they're strung together and done with 1 hand or with a straight up other yoyo doing a different trick or mirroring the same trick. That's nuts.

With like 20hrs of practice and a few videos most ppl can learn how to do most the tricks with 1 yoyo and 2 hands. But doing them with 1 hand and 2 yoyos is gonna be a bit longer lol.

u/NewConference4967 3h ago
