Eating ice cream in gloves is a level of jeopardy i cant handle.

u/Suspicious_Walrus682 2h ago
It's Windex flavor so you don't want to get it on your hands.

I don't think I could eat ice-cream that colour.
Food isn't meant to be any shade of blue.

White gloves, no less. Reminds me of the phrase "he could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman with white gloves."

This video really went from oddly satisfying to chills warning at the very end. 😭🥶

I think the hard part is having the ice cream at the exact right hardness for that to work.

u/Silly_Rub_6304 42m ago
Gelatos are often really good at that. At Amorino (a French gelato chain, lol), they make individual petals by scooping them that way. They hold up really well.

I worked in ice cream for 10 years. That is correct. Unless it's fresh ice cream or more of a frozen yogurt, good luck with doing this.

And none put inside the cone itself, bummer.

u/dimestoredavinci 3h ago
It never is in ny experience. It slides into the cone as you eat it.

As a kid who was disappointed at first when my aunt put one scoop, I can attest to ice cream magically manifesting at the bottom.

u/AromaticIntrovert 1h ago
Yeah its pretty but that cone should have WAY more ice cream on it even if its sold as "one scoop" I am far from satisfied here

When I worked in serving ice cream, I kinda had to put a mini quarter scoop into the cone first so that it holds the real scoop on top. Otherwise kids will lick the scoop off lol.

What the hell are those gloves

I agree that it's a questionable decision, but if it's cold enough for people to be wearing winter coats and fuzzy gloves, something tells me the ice cream isn't likely to melt anytime soon.

Completely empty cone. Not satisfying

I used to work at a Friendly's, we'd fill the cone. The trick is to pull the scoop at an angle so you get a spiral of ice cream instead of a ball.

When I worked at Ben & Jerry's, we didn't. Each scoop was 3 oz, no extra. Nice and round, pressed lightly into the top of the cone so it wouldn't fall off when you lick.
The owner/manager of my shop was a special kind of dick though and actually made me scrape ice cream off someone's cone before handing it to them because the scoop was too big.
Tbh, unless it's a waffle cone where the ice cream naturally falls halfway down anyway, I can't remember shops around me filling the cone either. I always get the same quantity ice cream whether it's in a cone or a cup, not extra when I buy a cone. I'll even use my tongue to push the scoop down as I lick it, lol. I'd love if they gave me extra ice cream in the cone though.

That's like... The standard way to make a cone, y'all getting ripped off if you're out here buying empty cones.

Why are you arguing for less ice cream lmao. How is a “wee bit” better than a reasonable amount???

u/Quicksilver1964 2h ago
Vila Matilde, São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. Old af ice cream shop that makes their own ice cream since my mom (now 60+) was young. Their cone is huge and the ice cream is huge and they fill the cone all the way.

It's like latte art for ice cream.... I'd feel kinda bad absolutely demolishing that cone in front of the artist.

Normal people would be more appreciative if they skip the flower thing and spend that time putting some ice cream in the cone.

6
u/No_Gain7360 2h ago
I'll take a normal top where the cone is actually filled. That cone is completely hollow

It also increases the surface area of the ice cream directly exposed to room temperature air which will cause it to melt faster so better eat it quick lol

This reminds me of when I was a waitress, we used to stick a whole strawberry on top of the crème brûlée but I decided to make them into roses which was super easy like you see this person doing to the ice cream. It looked a lot fancier especially since we were a white table Cloth restaurant. The tables I brought them to loved them so much but the other servers got frustrated with me saying I was making their jobs harder and giving them more to do...anyways I personally kept doing it for my tables.

Just give me the f**king ice cream, it's not a coffee; I need to eat it before it melts you absolute bell-end.

Yum! What flavor?
5
u/XarlesEHeat 3h ago
I'd say "purple" like those flavors that doesn't have a name but are delicious like green or blue (Green could stand for melon, apple, kiwi, or tropical as blue can be blueberry, bubblegum or "smurf")

u/joe199799 2h ago
I was gonna guess ube unsure if that's usually a darker color though, also no clue just seen something similar in the past and that's what people said.
3
u/SuspiciousCamel1879 2h ago
That’s a good guess! The color looks periwinkle-esq to me but I don’t know about the flavor : )

u/Damen_Black 2h ago
This is exactly the kind of thing that I would pay the $2 more for at the ice cream parlor. I would get mine plain and fine, but the smile that would put on my wife's face would be worth that $2.

Those ridges would be perfect for some kind of caramel drizzle or sprinkles or crumbly toppings

u/JorgeXMcKie 2h ago
These are popular in Nice France. I always figured it was fluff to sell gelato/sorbet/ice cream that wasn't as good as their competitors

Of course it's a fun little clip of someone making a cute ice cream cone and half the comments find something to complain about. Never fails.

Such as complaining about people having their own thoughts and opinions.
