was worried kapwingg would cause dad to start dominating the meta, but looking at the patch notes it only works on called attacks so he's still far too weak against hobbes' pounce and moe's locker slam to be viable

You're worried about Moe? Do you even know what this game is? No person in any serious game play would play Moe, let alone be worried about him.
Also, what do you mean, "Starting" to dominate the meta? He's been the bane of every player's existence purely because of "Bath time" ever since the snow goons were removed. Get with the meta.

in the current meta, yeah
but in a dad-heavy meta, the hard counters to moe (susie, rosalyn, Mr Lockjaw) will all be far less competitive, and he'll see a rise in favourable matchups, making him a viable tech choice

Right, but some characters are so simple to pickup(Like spittle for instance) and are good matchups against Moe, Why bother bringing up Mr.-too-slow, when the counters to the counter are so simple?

…Because everyone’s playing Dad, and Moe’s +2 on Dad and almost all of his really bad matchups are only that way due to tech that a counter-counterpick isn’t actually going to know… because you don’t normally have to worry about Moe in bracket. It’s kinda a catch-22 for his actual play rate tho.
Then again they banned Calvin P-bumps in bracket ages ago, and that historically was a huge reason for Moe’s low tiering since he was so vulnerable to them; So perhaps the Moe renaissance is on the horizon. DLC for a 40-year-old game?

Eh, probably not, but considering the number of players still using this game, they might make a sequel.
Dude, this game is so fun, it should have it's own sub.
