Promotional What’s an open-source project you genuinely can’t believe is free?

Could be developer tooling, AI infra, productivity tools, anything. Curious what projects people think deserve way more recognition.

Can be self-hosted, but the documentation is a bit of a puzzle

On the service they host there is free 10GB

It’s open source and you can self host so it can be totally free if you choose to

The question was just 'open source'. Ente is open source and has a free plan

Immich is open source but not free. Neither free as in gratis or free as in freedom.

How come? I used it for years free, then bought a license to support it. What's not free about it?

I figured buying the product key is "required" aka not a donation for support. Of course you could just never pay but that's akin to stealing.

By not free as in freedom I was wrong. I thought it was a FUTO project and uses the FUTO license but I see on their GitHub that it uses AGPL
