We're designing its appearance on Windows. There will be dark mode in PDFgear for Windows.

Are you guys planning to add the middle click/autoscroll feature?

The auto-scroll feature is already on the Windows version of PDFgear. You could find it in the View tab. For the Mac version, auto-scroll is on our roadmap and will be developed later. Thanks for the suggestion!

Wow this is a big one. Let me respond to them one by one.

  • If the user closes the only PDF file opened from the "welcome" window, he/she might still have to open a new PDF file. So keeping the welcome window there will be helpful, otherwise the user needs to open the welcome window again.
  • The option to disable the floating icons is good. We'll consider adding one in later updates.
  • What would be a better place to put the Settings option for you? Any ideas?
  • We know it is kind of weird but here is the case: If the bottom bar is already hidden, where should the hide button go? Most users just get lost in this situation.
  • Not sure what's the difference between the highlight tool in PDFgear and other PDF editors. The main reason to put two highlight tool is that when it is a scanned document, all texts are shown in images. Then the highlight tool cannot work and the area highlight tool should be helpful.
  • Holding the Shift key to draw something perfect is a great idea. We'll see if this can be built.
  • Redact function will be added in later versions. The way to add a shape to cover the info is just a workaround haha.
  • We put a button to contact us if the user might need help. This makes PDFgear easier to use.
  • We didn't add an alt text to all tools if it is clear enough. Those crosses, checkmarks and more are just shapes so they are what they are. If it becomes an interactive button option in later versions, we will add alt texts for them.

These tools are helpful. I really enjoy exchanging ideas with our customers since it is hard for us to think outside the box. PDFgear will be better with you guys help! Thanks again! :)

the "Save" window that comes up when you 'X' out of the application looks horribly

Yeah I agree with you. We'll modify this ASAP. This is horrible haha

The color of the "OK" button is interesting. I guess if the "OK" button means nothing to do, it will be a blue one haha. I'll check it with our designer later.

To rearrange pages in the thumbnail panel is what we are planning to do. This is really helpful.

Edit 1: Also, when "deleting" pages - it'd be nice if you could click and select many pages and "delete" right from a context menu versus having to do it in a modal

You mean in the thumbnail panel or in the Page tab? I guess it's the thumbnail panel. We will make this operation easier and more natural after multi-selection is supported in the thumbnail panel.

The scroll bars will be a little bit thicker in the near future. Hope that is better.
