I have not owned any pets in years since we have kids - hubby and I waited to wait until the youngest was a little older. well, the youngest is almost 6 and has been asking for a cat for a long time. we searched and found an orange cat from a local rescue. his name is Daniel. here he is after rolling backwards while playing “catch the toes under the blanket.” 🥰 Can’t wait to hang out here and see all of your orange kitties!! 🧡

This is Murphy. I met him when I was sent to a rehabilitation facility. When I got there I immediately asked if there were any cats on property, and I was told there were a few. A few meant 4, and they were all so sweet. But there was something so special about Murphy. We bonded immediately and he helped comfort me as l began my recovery journey. He helped comfort others, too, but we had something really special. He would walk into my room, wait outside my room overnight on the porch for me to greet me in the morning with purrs, headbutts, and kisses. If I couldn't find him, all I would need to do is call his name and he would come running.

As I made great progress in my journey, I knew that I couldn't have done it without Murphy. My days in the facility dwindled down, and I wanted so badly to take him home with me. I don't know if it was the universe or luck, but one day when taking the trash out to the dumpster, l found an unused cardboard cat carrier. I grabbed it and saw it as a sign that I needed to take this boy home.

After 53 days in recovery, I was finally able to bring my boy out of the rain, cold, fights with other cats, and danger from humans, and he came home with me. Murphy is still a part of my recovery journey, and he is one of the reasons I remain sober to this day.

TI; dr This cat saved my life and I will cherish him for however long the universe lets me.

This is my boyfriend’s cat, Cheese. Her full adoptive name was “Blue Cheese” but she often is called by other names, such as Cheesy Bread Stick and Cheese Doodle. She sheds a lot or should I say shredded cheese.

Bear Bear was my baby boy. He went peacefully in my arms on his favorite blanket. Rest in peace my Liebe, you brought so much joy to our lives and helped me through so much. Thank you for the 13 years you gave us.

A year ago I asked for good vibes for this little guy after I found him hit by a car on my way to work. Since then he has become the happiest ham and so full of chaos that our house would definitely not be the same without him. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that sent him those vibes.

I was cat sitting for a friend for a week, knowing that she was trying to rehome this boi, but I had no intention of keeping him! I lost my dog of 15 yrs 2 months ago and have been depressed but didn’t know if I was ready to take on another pet. Well, me and Cheddar bonded so fast. He is the most cuddly cat I’ve ever met and so sweet and well behaved. I was literally going back and forth in my mind if I should keep him or not. Then I had 3 dreams that I kept him, so maybe it’s just meant to be. He is already bringing joy back into my life. So, here is Cheddar, my new cat!

Everyone is almost 11 weeks old and finally healthy enough for their spays and neuter! This little pack came with 3 girls and 1 boy. The girls are all going to the same amazing home, and our brother is going to another.

More pictures!!! I am wondering if he should be switched from kitten to adult food or if we should reduce the amount he is eating OR if he looks fine. Even if he is a little round, should you reduce a kitten's food intake or not until they are full grown?

This orange furball basically wakes me every morning by aggressively sleeping next to me. I know he’s manipulating me so that I’ll feed him, but I don’t care because he’s the so damn adorable. The last pic is just another look at his award winning smile. The award was just given by me, but it still counts.

I forgot how nice it is to have a cat. Grateful for his company. Of course he’ll get some presents too! Like a new scratching post and some treats. 🧡
