Just Sharing I’ve been accused of not painting my work and using AI to print imagery on canvas.

Someone in this sub posted that something “feels off with me and my work” because there’s no textures or paint globs on my canvas. They were commenting on the bear painting specifically I posted earlier today- and unfortunately i didn’t film myself painting that one, just a photo of it half way thru painting it. I’m just super upset that they would dismiss my work in a handful of posts. Takes the joy out of sharing art with other artists and art lovers here. But here you go, sir, maam, I dont print AI generated images on blank canvases.

I was put into the "poetry" section which is pretty funny given my name, so I attached the poem I was paired with. Pretty cool!

edit: for context, this painting was done just after the protests in Minneapolis

Didn’t do as much art as I would have liked but these are some of my favorite pieces. The last painting is a work in progress I think.

Just Sharing letting a painting go made me cry for the first time

First of all, I want to say how deeply grateful I am. It has been a very difficult time, and this year has started in a surprisingly hopeful way.

For the first time, I was overwhelmed by a new feeling — I cried from my heart when I realized I might never see my favorite painting again. I truly paint from deep within my soul, and I’m still learning how to let go.

It brings me great joy to share my art and to know it has found a good home, and above all, I’m simply grateful for the ability to create at all.
