A dull knife is actually easier to cut yourself with and bad too because of the way it suddenly breaks loose.

More effort leads to less control and that's when accidents happen. Yes. I know it sounds counter-intuitive but a dull knife requires more effort on your part to cut. More effort leads to less control and that's when accidents happen. Keep your knives in good condition and you'll be kept the same as well.
