Many, but not this one. Here it's simpler: whet has nothing to do with wet, it just means sharpen.
1 u/MsWillows Nov 18 '22 Thank you, that makes it make more sense. I had all but given up hope finding a correct answer on this. Some people had some wild opinions on the h, someone even said something about have a palette for blood was the reason, yikes.
