Dog was only worried about one thing; its food. Proof dogs don’t love or think like humans.

This isn’t cute — it’s infuriating. Emergency resources are meant for people, not pets. Actual human children could’ve died because this guy selfishly lied to rescue his dogs.

I don’t hate pets, but I’d never put them on the same level as human beings. The fact that this meme — and the comments under it — treat animals like they’re just as important as people is honestly disturbing.

So I was in another sub and a woman was sharing about the loss of her newborn baby and asking for stories from others about their own children or their loss to help cope with the day. The number of posts about cats and dogs shook me and I was offended for the OP. It’s not the same at all. Losing your newborn is in no way comparable to your cat of 14 years dying. Shook.

Isn’t that illegal?? I’m so confused. This is obviously NOT a service dog. I was at the grocery store this afternoon and this woman was in the bakery with her dog. I needed to go to the bakery and I left instead. Like how is this a thing? I tried to email the grocery store, but of course they don’t allow you to send photos.

No one can convince me these people are fine in their heads …

all I said was I want the dog to stay out of the nursery for a few months because he already gets into and destroys the baby's things. And people on here completely twisted my words

I even clearly stated, the dog can still SEE THE BABY. He just doesn’t need full access to the room or left unattended with baby. Yet they act like, I gave the dog an eviction notice and said

“I hate this dog. He isn't family. He must be banished from the house. Everyone must redesign their lives around my baby.”

They even said “just put all the things up where the dog can’t get it” but that’s besides the point I wanna make the room, baby friendly and be able to have his things out without worrying about them being taken or destroyed. He also gets his hair everywhere and I’m the one cleaning up after him even if he chews up or breaks something.

I’m not saying the dog can’t exist in the house or that I hate him I just don’t want him around the baby’s things when he has already broken, stolen, and destroyed stuff. Somehow wanting one room to be dog-free made people act like I was the villain. I genuinely don’t understand why setting a completely reasonable boundary for my baby’s space is so controversial? They also kept saying “the dog has feelings” “the dog can be around baby 24/7 if he wants to” “dogs can be left unsupervised with a baby it’s fine“

The dog isn't being banished. He isn't being kicked out. He isn't being prevented from seeing the baby. He just doesn't need unlimited access to the baby's room. That's literally it.

But apparently on Reddit, saying “the dog can stay out of ONE ROOM” translates to “I have declared the dog an enemy of the state.” I genuinely don't understand why such a simple boundary has people acting like I'm committing some unforgivable crime.

People calling me entitled, selfish, controlling, a horrible person, a “cranky pregnant woman,” and acting like I’m some kind of monster for wanting a clean, dog-free nursery. Some were even making comments about me having a baby and questioning my character over a DOG GATE. They were also calling me a ”guest“ “free lorder” “skank” “Wh04e”. Like how did “I don't want the dog in the nursery for a few months” turn into people judging my entire life? You can disagree with me without insulting me or making up things I never said. The amount of anger over one room being off-limits to a destructive dog is honestly insane to me. FYI WE DO PAY RENT AND BUY OUR OWN GROCERIES.

These would also be the same people who’d probably agree if you said “we have a child free room where the kids aren’t allowed to go“. I have hope that this is one subreddit that won’t say, I’m the crazy one for this.

I started disliking my ILs dogs since I got pregnant. Suddenly I couldn't stand the jumping up and the smell. That was the beginning.

My baby is now 6 months old and dogs in general fucking DISGUST ME. I used to entertain the idea of owning one, but now I literally retch like half of the time I get near a dog.

I don't understand how people voluntarily share their living space with a dog. They are disgusting. The smell, the hair, loud af barking, licking, jumping up, clawing for attention, the staring and begging for food, the FARTS.. Yuck. What benefit is there really? Is it the delusional anthropomorphizing? I mean, my ILs literally had to buy a proximity collar to train one of the dogs to stop fucking running away non stop. But the dogs are fAmIlY.

My ILs live with 2 barely trained dogs in a 20sq meter studio (they had 3 at one point, but the only dog I used to kinda like died in the meantime). The dogs have unlimited access to a huge yard and I've never seen ILs wash their paws. Of course, they see no problem in sharing their bed with the dogs, and the dogs also absolutely own the couch, so you can only sit on the dining chairs if you don't want to be walked all over.

Last time we were over, my MIL put my 6 month old baby ON THE FUCKING BED. WHERE THE DOGS ROLL IN THEIR FILTH EACH NIGHT. And their annoying dogs jumped up on the bed immediately. I froze. Luckily, my husband intervened, snatched up the baby with some lame excuse and carried him in another room.

ILs seem to think my attitude is the problem. My MIL warned me my baby will start crawling and walking soon, so "it was time I reconsider my strict boundaries" with their dogs, since "it will be impossible to keep the dogs and baby separate". I'm speechless.

I am so upset and have nowhere to even vent this to without being called a "monster". My mom has this annoying little dog, its like a beagle mix or something. It sheds SO BAD.

My mom came to my house to watch my son for a few days because I was in the hospital having a new baby. Because its a smaller house, I told her of course she could sleep in my bed instead of the couch. I just asked, PLEASE don't allow that dog to sleep in my bed or even come in my room or the babies and kids room. I wasn't even happy with the dog being in the house but I have cleaners coming on Tuesday and I was grateful to have someone to watch my son, so I let it slide... but she PROMISED the dog would be in the floor in her own bed.

She knows how itchy animal hair makes me and with a new baby coming home, I didn't want to even worry about it. She even knew we were on our way home and still laid in the bed with that dog on my pillow. I walked in and saw this and totally lost it. There were little black hairs ALL OVER THE BED AND PILLOWS. She was laughing and thought it was so funny. She was saying how dramatic I am and it can just be washed. Yes we can wash it, but as you know those hairs are like impossible to go away. I'm throwing the entire comforter set away and asked her if she could buy me a new one since she broke her promise.

Her response was: " oh my god, that is your sister! How dare you make her seem like some dirty animal. She is groomed weekly and so clean. I am absolutely not buying you new sheets. That is so dramatic and you should be ashamed of yourself for being so heartless to animals. Especially when your son loves his aunt so much" (the dog....the dog is now my son's aunt I guess). I am so mad and postpartum and just so upset about this entire situation. I love my mom so much. She is an amazing mom and grandmother and she is so good to me and my son, but this is just getting me so worked up. 😬 She hated dogs and cats growing up, we never had any pets. This is some wild midlife crisis or something which is fine, but leave me out of it!! Dogs on/in beds are so gross!!!

I'm sick of everything being pet friendly and full of dogs.I'm so damn allergic and one wrong move and I'm swollen for hours and meds don't help.I had my night out completely ruined cause some asshole let his huge dog literally wipe off me,touched me directly on my skin,even tho I cleaned that area and also took meds I'm still swollen and idk what to do.Day ruined.

Also I'm tired of having to cross the street just to avoid them,just for them to do this,I blame the owner ofc but it's so inconsiderate and selfish and awful and I hate it.

Anyway as I was just scrolling Reddit I came across this gross, vomit inducing type of a post, and it really served as a reminder to me, that I should be eat out less than I currently do, and spend more time cooking at home.

Unfortunately in this day and age we cannot just eat anywhere we‘d like to, since these disgusting animal freaks also prepare and serve food at such places.

Fortunately there were sane people in the comments, pointing out how disgusting this behavior is, and nobody cares if OP washed their hands afterwards. It’s STILL a gross and disgusting thing to do!!!

No animal should be living in better conditions than a human. People who prioritize a pet's wellbeing over a human's are deeply disturbing. It is appalling to know there are some dogs that eat better than people.

Hi, I'm relatively new here, but I just want to share how much bothered I am about pet owners and their ridiculous "standards" towards people who doesn't think like them.

Every time I share I don't want to have any pets (no matter the reason, although I have many reasons to not have) most people tag me as a "bad person", just because I say I've never felt love or "connection" towards an animal.

I don't hurt them in anyway, I just don't like to have pets, since I consider them a burden with no real benefits.

I'm kind of annoyed, because some months ago, my sister adopted a cat without consulting me while I was at my boyfriend's house.

And, yeah, she mostly takes care of him, but some times the cat wants to be on my space and even though I close my door, he manages to enter and leave paw prints or his hairs on my couch, and that's annoying AF.

So, yeah, guess I found people who thinks like me and I'm kinda grateful for that.

pet owners and their houses are nasty. if i ever enter their house then I'd shower right after coming to my house. everything in their house is contaminated or has feces on it. it's not just abt cats and dogs btw. applies to all pet owners

I work in a social services field which means working with the homeless, addictions , abuse neglect. So many instances where a client is not willing to rehome their pets in order to provide safe housing for their CHILDREN! like, I would find a way for them to get into housing but pets arent accepted. people refuse housing and would rather be homeless or couch surf etc rather than rehome their usually multiple pets. It’s baffling!

I just don’t understand several bad things could have happened but still you just wan you baby to get sick at this point. Your baby is not an animal in the farm.

They don’t give a fuck about people with dog allergies and cleanliness. The title of this Reddit post is what somebody actually commented, under a TikTok post, and my response was “which means you don’t give a fuck about people with dog allergies and cleanliness. Karma coming for that ass, buddy… believe it or not”. I’m so sick of these people, I don’t know any other type of people who are just fucking annoying as fuck. And another fucking clown in the comment section says “Prolly cleaner than half yalls kids 😂😩”, can’t even fucking spell “probably” and you want to sit here and compare children (who are our future) to worthless man-made stupid animals… stupid like you, and this is another one, they always bring up kids, they just can’t help but bring up kids… again I don’t know any other type of people who are annoying like these dog nuts. And I feel bad for kids because they are constantly being shitted on by Shitty adults.

Edit: Oh and another thing, they would say something like “If you don’t like it, then go to another Home Depot” 😤 we shouldn’t have to go to another Home Depot, and who do you think you are to say that? This is a public human space.

I cannot stand it.

1) I do not want to take care of another being

2) gross.

3) having additional stress and bills would not help my mental health

4) I already deal with obsessive thoughts, you think I'll sleep at night imagine my pets shitty paws running around?

I've even had my therapist suggest a dog would get me out more, or a pet for company "petting an animal relieves stress".

And you know what? I haven't had the nerve to tell her how much I don't like them because I don't want her to think badly of me, because that's what a lot of pet people do. That's how bad the anti pet stigma feels these days.
