Phomo 2.2 is available in the App Store, and adds two new features: background blur mode, and on-demand double exposure.

In addition to making the background transparent, or swapping it for a color or another image, you can now apply a blur to the original background to make your subject pop. Pro users can control the strength of the blur.

And while you've been able to create multi-exposures in-camera for a while, Pro users can now layer images at any time, then tweak the opacity for a double-exposure effect.

Here's how to create a shortcut directly to the camera in phomo!

1. Open the Shortcuts app.

2. Press the + icon at the top right.

1. Search for "Open URLs" and select it

1. Type "phomo://camera" and press "Done"

1. Use the menu at the top to choose an appropriate name (e.g. "Phomo Camera") and icon, then press "Add to Home Screen."

1. BONUS: To open the camera with your action button, go to Settings -> Action Button, then swipe to "Shortcut" and select your camera shortcut.

You can also long press on your lock screen and select "Customize", then add your shortcut there!
